We are a fun couple that absolutely love dogs. In our free time we love walking around city parks, hiking, skiing, and playing with the neighborhood dogs. We live in a residential area and will be able to take your dogs out at least 2-3 times a day. There is a veterinarian in the neighborhood. I work from home and would provide 24/7 supervision. My boyfriend is a PHD Researcher at Berkeley. He works longer hours, but loves dogs and I'm sure he would want to take them out again in the evenings.
I'm very flexible and willing to take last minute reservations as I'm always around and mobile. I have a car and can even pick up and drop off depending on where you live.
We don't currently own a dog, but grew up with dogs. I had a Schipperke and Bichon/Poodle mix growing up. My Bichon had cataracts the majority of his life and due to his limited vision, would be scared in unfamiliar situations. As a result, I'm experienced in making dogs feel comfortable in unfamiliar environments. I also have a lot of experience with puppies and senior dogs.
Since our apartment is small, we feel that it is a better environment for small to medium sized dogs. I would prefer hosting potty trained dogs, but will make an exception for puppies who have not had the opportunity to learn yet.
We recently adopted 3 mostly grown kittens. They have been bottle fed their entire lives and are very sweet and cuddly. They play fetch and largely act like dogs. If I am hosting your dog in my home I do ask that your dog be able to tolerate cats
