About Marci

2 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a 35 year old freelance creative living and working from my sunny one-bedroom apartment in beautiful, historic Bed Stuy. I am a TRUE animal lover and while I have lived with and cared for many dogs and cats over the years, I don't have any pets of my own at the moment.

I would love nothing more than to spoil your pets silly with lots of walks and cuddles. I am very active and love having any excuse to go for a walk or a jog and will make sure that your dog gets as much exercise as they need. I'm also happy to make my lap available for times while I'm on the computer or curled up with a good book on my couch.

And for you cat folks, I love playing and cuddling with cats too! In fact, I am famous among my friends for winning over persnickety kitties!

I also have a big ol' station wagon – perfect for transporting your pet safely to and from home and also for fun adventures like walks on the beach or hiking trails upstate (only with mom and dad's permission, of course).

As a photographer I would be delighted to fill your inbox with as many cute photos of your animals as you want while you're away.

Lastly I am friendly, flexible, and reliable! I'll look forward to meeting you and your pet soon!

I have entrusted Marci with my high maintenance chihuahua during many of my vacations. Most importantly, my dog loves her and always gets excited when she sees Marci. Marci clearly has great rapport with all different types of animals--cats, dogs...people too! She's very trustworthy and can be relied upon in emergent situations should they arise. When my dog has special health needs, I had total confidence in her care. She provided appropriate check-ins and even snapshots of their time together which really set my mind at ease. She's such a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to anyone.

Marci speaks human very well, but she's also fully fluent in canine (all accents!). She is a smart, attentive, caring, detail oriented, responsible human being who will absolutely roll out the red carpet for your pet. Marci has cared for my dog many 'a time and sometimes I worry that Dyno won't want to leave Marci's TLC when I pick her up.

Marci did an amazing job with Darby. She watched him for 10 days and constantly sent me text updates and pictures. He has separation anxiety, but she kept him comfortable. Sometimes he gets stressed and doesn't eat, but he came back well fed, which is a very good indicator that his vacay went well. I'd definitely request her again and hope that she'd be open to watch Darby again.
What can I say about Marci? She went above and beyond to give Lola an incredible week, to the point where I think she had a little post-Marci depression in the days that followed pick-up.

From when I first reached out (scheduling a meet-n-greet to ask questions and make sure she and Lola were compatible), to throughout our trip (sending pictures daily, updates, and even offering to give Lola a manicure), to the end (when Lola was sad to go, and she offered some dietary tips given Lola's age/weight)... Marci was and is simply the best.

* I almost didn't want to leave this review—to avoid Marci being booked next time I have to leave town—but it would be irresponsible of me not to share the love. If you need someone to watch your pet, you can't do better.

Can't thank you enough, Marci.
Marci is amazing! We feel so lucky to have found her. She took great care of our dog, Milo, and sent us thorough updates with pictures throughout the day, which we really appreciated while we were away. Our dog was also dealing with some GI issues and required medication, which I 100% trusted Marci with. She is super responsible and throughtful and clearly cares very much about animals. Milo absolutely loved her. I would recommend her in a heartbeat and we will certainly be using her services again!
