MY DOGGIE HISTORY
I got my first doggie when I got my first apartment. Lolly was a Basset Hound rescue. She was joined by a Sealyham Terrier, ?Bunbury and a rescue terrier mix, ?Moppet. All our doggies worked ShowBiz - the days when TV ads for Alpo Dog Food were done live - the Today Show - the Tonight Show.
All 3 doggies were with us when we hit the road, NY to Montana, in a Volkswagen Beetle, touring our Rodgers & Hammerstein show for High Schools and sightseeing.
Even the Siamese Cat worked (Sergeant's Flea Collar). But my husband's allergies forced ?Minsky to ?relocate, and after that it was doggies who don't shed (a Poodle for one daughter, ?Snowball and a rescue Terrier
scamp, ?Rufus, for the other)
After that came my darling Bichon Havanais, ?Vedette who came from a Paris shop on the Boulevard de Courcelles, Crazy Dog, a shop opened by an ex-dancer from Le Crazy Horse Saloon which was recommended to me by a Parisian character, Coccinelle.
?Vedette traveled back and forth to Paris and gave me nearly 17 years of joy.
Read her obituary on P-4 of the 2006 Crane's Clarion of my cynthiacrane website.
We have had this Long Island Beach House for over 30 years.
