Barley's Pet Hospitality
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Carol. Barley was my baby girl I lost last year to cancer. She was a 10-year-old Chow Carolina Mix that loved everyone. She welcomed numerous dogs and cats into her home! I'm down to one dog and one cat now. Cooper and George. Cooper is a Chihuahua Papillon mix. A Chion from what I've been told. He came home with me from the pound 2 1/2 years ago. George is a tuxedo short hair. She, yes she, found me about a year ago. I think her curiosity got her lost. She was super skinny and covered with ticks and fleas. They are now both fat and happy! I grew up with pets and have kept dogs for family and friends for years. I've had as many as 6 for Christmas more than once. I have also fostered dogs for a local rescue group. Since Barley passed I have not gotten another dog because I know the right one will find me, as she and her siblings did. My home is a modest 2 bed room home with a great medium sized back yard. I have a dogie dog for when I am not home. Currently I have a small non-profit consulting business and work from home. Because my dad is a Parkinson’s patient I am not working full-time currently. Most of my time is devoted to my parents. I recently heard about DogVacay and know Cooper, George and I will make great care givers! I want to keep our guests to small dogs because of Cooper, he will be more comfortable that way! I look forward to hearing from you, Carol

Carol is the best! Our pup, Boo Radley sprained his back leg right before we left to go out of town and Carol was so sweet to take extra care of him. He truly has a love for dogs and we trust her with our senior pup.
We love Carol! When I leave my pup, Boo Radley, with her and her sweet pup, Cooper, I know that he is in good hands. She is so accommodating and easy to work with, she's been our go-to sitter. Boo loves spending time cuddling with Carol and Cooper and is always happy when he comes home.
Carol is a wonderful woman and a great person to trust your baby with. I had to find someone at a very last minute to take care of my dog while I had to leave to go overseas for 2 weeks. She kept in contact with me the entire time by sending me messages and pictures of my dog to assure me he is doing just fine. I can't say enough about how relief I was when she agreed to take care of my dog. Her house environment is great. It gives you such a great positive energy. Her dog is also super cute and friendly. I would absolutely ask her to take care of my dog again if I have to leave town.
My pup is blind in one eye and Carol took very good care of him. She was incredibly accommodating and was super easy to work with. She sent me pictures of him and kept me updated. We had a great experience with Carol and will definitely use her again!
