About Celeste

7 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We love dogs! We enjoy spending time with yours and will treat them each like they are part of our family. If you have a need for either daycare or the traditional overnight stay for your fur baby, please scroll to the bottom if you are in a hurry and want to know more about the services and concerns before reading our bios. Thank you for considering us for your fur baby's needs! We look forward to meeting you!
****And, please look for the MEET AND GREET option so we can get to know each other before your fur babies become our vacationing fur guests!****

We have changed things up for within our home.
*We are no longer watching large or extra large dogs within our home. We will accept medium and smaller after an initial meet and greet.
*We are accepting all sizes of dogs for home visits to allow each larger fur guest to remain in their own environment and get their needs met twice a day in the comfort of their own homes. This too requires a meet and greet but we come to your home environment.

If you have any trouble setting up a reservation, simply send a General Inquiry for assistance. Boarding. Daycare. Anything you have a need for, check this profile or feel free to write an inquiry, or both. We are here to help.

We look forward to spending time with your fur baby (or babies) and want him or her (or them) to feel at home while staying with us! Please bring toys, blankets, food, treats, and anything else your fur baby (babies) needs to feel secure and at home - your fur baby's vacation destination.

We play fetch pretty often. We like to use squeaky toys and/or tennis balls as a way to keep our fur guests engaged during the day. We like to use tug-of-war ropes IF your dog is good with that as well (if not, we will reduce that use or any other while your baby is visiting). We will let your dog chew up all of the tennis balls he or she delights in as long as there are plenty to allow for this (please note that we make sure none of the balls are actually eaten). Please do not be surprised if there are less balls returned in the travel bag.

We have an enclosed backyard filled with grass, shade, and an above ground salt water pool. (**For more information about the pool, please scroll all of the way to the bottom.) Our backyard is fenced in and we enjoy spending time in it just as much as your fur babies do (or don't since we focus our time with them while they visit). We can play fetch indoors if your baby is more inclined to enjoy indoor activities and while it's wet out.
We like to make your fur baby feel as though they are at home while here and attempt to keep them on their diet and medication schedule. They usually tell us when they are tired and we appreciate and accept their cuddles if they desire to do that or just to do that right before heading to their chosen bed location.

*We have no kennels here, you will have to bring one if your baby or babies are accustomed to sleeping in one. (We let the kennel door remain open during the day though as this allows for freedom and comfort.)

About Us at Barkin Betailin:

I am Celeste, a graduate student witty a newly earned MBA in Marketing. I am home most of the time and also have a BS in Health Administration/Management. I served in the Army for a short period and was honorably discharged in 2012. I love spending time with my husband, Goldie, and our beautiful black Labrador retriever, Henry, and our dog guests since they are why I chose to start watching dogs.

Allan ("Goldie") was honorably discharged from the Army during early 2015. Goldie is attending ITTY Tech for his AA and BA and due to graduate about 2018 and 2020, sometime. We met while serving in the Army, both training as combat medics at Fort Sam Houston, TX (San Antonio).

Henry the Black Lab, your fur host
Henry enjoys making new friends and playing with them. Playing with toys, especially those that encourage fetch or squeakiness, are his favorites. However, since he is older, he also likes to rest and drink water on a regular basis. Squeaky toys, bones, and tennis balls are his favorites while he is relaxing. Please feel free to share some raw hides or tennis balls with Henry, he will be forever grateful!

We decided to stay in Clarksville instead of returning to our home state of CA because of the people, weather, and southern hospitality we have grown to love. Actually, we fell in love with the area when we moved (PCS'ed) here from Fort Bliss, TX (El Paso) and were treated so kindly everywhere we have been around here.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and get to know us! We cannot wait to get to know you and your fur babies! :D

Please read the special notes below. :-)

We communicate through text message if you are within the United States during your vacation and WhatsApp if your travels take you abroad, just let me know through which you desire to receive your communications.

Vacation Photos:
Pictures are a regular part of your fur baby's stay with us, so expect a couple during the day through either of these media means.
*These photos will also likely show up on this page or on our Facebook page called Barkin Betailin - Dog Vacay.

Other Animals:
Celeste is allergic to cats so we apologize for not being able to watch them in our home.
We have experience watching other types of animals including tortoises and parakeets.
Please check in with us if you need a sitter for these different pet species.

Please note:
*Please provide proof of all vaccinations.

*We offer doggy Daycare (in addition to Overnight Boarding)!
We'd be happy to keep your pup entertained while you’re away for the day. At this time Daycare requires a custom quote and we are very happy to set this up for you!

*This includes multiple pets, pricing, checking to see if there are any discount codes available for extra savings, or anything else you can think of to help make your pet's stay the best possible and ease your mind!

Drop Off & Pick Up Policy
*Drop offs begin at 6:30 am. If you need to have your dog arrive earlier, please include the night before in your booking.

*Pick-ups occur before Noon. If you plan on arriving later, please include our $10 day care fee for that day in your budget.

*Please discuss your needs and your fur babies needs with us.

*Your Fur Baby's Vacation Destination Pool Rules
We have an enclosed backyard filled with grass, shade, and an above ground salt water pool. The pool is gated with its own deck, as is the BBQ deck area. During the colder months the pool is off limits completely. When it is open, we ask each owner their preference regarding their dog's (fur babies safety is of utmost importance!!) pool use and follow that at all times.

Celeste was friendly and flexible to a couple last minute travel changes that came from the airline! She sent me pics and was responsive to texts. I would definitely use Celeste again!
Very happy with my experience with Celeste. She was very accommodating with the arrangements, and she took great care of my pup! He obviously had a great time, and was very well cared for. She also sent daily pictures while I was away, so that I could see what they were up to. Highly recommend, and hope to use her again in the future.
Even over the Christmas holiday, Celeste cared for our sweet dogs. I am leaving a second review to double attest to how wonderful she was to trust with our home and doggie care.
