About Leena

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Welcome to Bark Vacay! My husband and I are lifelong dog lovers who will treat your dog like our own, and make sure your dog's every need is met so you don't need to worry.

Bark Vacay Staff:
My husband Ashok and I are huge dog lovers, taking our own beloved canine companion around the world with us when we moved. Since our dog passed away, we have felt a marked absence in our life. Recent dog sitting experiences for friends have made us desire to have dogs in our life again.

Bark Vacay Experience:
I am usually at home, and my husband often works from home. We can ensure your dog gets constant supervision and care during his/her stay. Also, Ashok and I are both very active, taking hour-long walks every day. We look forward to taking your dog on multiple daily walks around the neighborhood and nearby walking trails. We can also be sure to keep you up-to-date with your beloved pooch's antics and vacation stories through texts and pictures.

Bark Vacay Location:
Bark Vacay is in a large family home with a HUGE backyard. Your dog will get the chance to run around, sniff the flowers, and play fetch like no other. We are located close to many walking trails in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and can quickly get to a vet if needed.

Bark Vacay Transportation:
We have two cars that are able to carry any sized dog should transportation needs arise.

We look forward to having your dog stay at Bark Vacay!

Wow. We were very impressed with Leena. She cared for our fur-baby Cole (7 month old lab) just as we would have. She shows much knowledge/experience with dogs. She is very attentive and strives to do exactly as you wish. She is flexible with drop off and pick ups. She sent photos and updates really put our minds at ease and allowed us to have a stress-free vacation. We will definitely use Leena in the future.
Leena did a great job taking care of Toby. She has a big backyard where Toby can play and very safe neighborhood. I highly recommend her.
Leena is great. I have tremendous peace of mind when I leave Jake with her.
My two dogs stayed with Leena from 8 am to 7 pm, no overnight stay.

At the Meet and Greet everything seemed good. I did see a couple of holes in the side fence and Leena assured me that they would be repaired before my dogs were to come and stay for the day.

When I dropped the dogs off I did take note that the fence seemed to be repaired, no gapping holes.

Unfortunately, when I came to pick them up at 7 pm I found both dogs three house down and around the corner from Leena's house! I was shocked that my dogs were out and unattended!! If I had been even a couple of minutes later who knows where they would have gone to.

I calmed myself down and went to Leena's door only because the dogs beds, bowls and leashes were in her house. When Leena answered the door she had no idea that the dogs were out. I pointed to my car and told her where I found them. She told me that it was impossible for them to get out.

We went in her back yard and the holes in the fences were again open. She said that she had been watching them a few minutes ago and even if the dogs went through the fence the neighbors keep their yard locked. Yet they were out.

My recommendation if you plan to leave your dog with Leena is to ensure that the fence has been properly repaired.

I find it very unusual that both of my dogs were out. One is adventurous, but the other is definitely not.

I was disappointed that Leena didn't take responsibility for their escape.
Leena was an excellent host and Jake seemed like he got plenty of love and exercise.
This was the first time leaving my 6 month old puppy while travelling for work. I just heard about dogvacay so thought of giving it a shot. I was never comfortable with the commercial dog kennels given the huge number of dogs they have at any given time and mostly because there is no human monitoring at many of those. I sent a meet and greet request to a few sitters on dogvacay, Leena was very prompt in responding. I took my dog to visit her withing the next few hours, I found her very warm and amicable. Her place is clean and beautiful, the backyard is huge and has no clutter or junk lying around. That was important for me as my puppy chews on things due to her teething these days. Leena sent me regular updates with pictures which alleviated my anxieties to a great degree. My puppy was not nervous or scared when I got her home, will certainly go back to Leena!
Leena was great with my Siberian Husky pup who was 12 weeks at the time! She understood his puppy tendencies and helped potty train him as well. The one thing I really loved was that she slept downstairs with him so he wouldn't be alone throughout the night! There is a huge front and backyard which is very convenient for his potty needs. Bay was well taken cared of!
