My dog HiJack is 6lbs of chihuahua/Jack Russell and 60lbs of Personality. He is a Happy Dog and literally jumps for Joy, daily. I got him this year at the age of 7 and we are BFFS. My goal is to make your precious pup's time away from you as seamless as possible. After one weekend with our pal and neighbor Jasmine, her mother reports that she will not complete her walks without an attempt to head up to see Jack and I. That's what I consider a success. When you say your goodbyes, you can leave carefree, focusing on your work or vacation, knowing that they are in the (second) best of hands until your return.
The precious pals stay with me in my large two bedroom, which offers plenty of room for puppy wrestling and cat naps. I only host a couple of dogs at a time and since it's just me, as they are comfy, they usually curl up on the bed with Jack and I. Though some dogs prefer their crate...it's all about making it as comfy for them as possible.
Our little pack goes on lotsa walks each day around the hilly, woodsy cul de sac that you'd never imagined was nestled just off Cirby and conveniently located right off Riverside Exit on i-80. The complex grounds back up to the creek and the community is very dog friendly. It's kinda like having your own large, quiet dog park at your front door. Sometimes we go on field trips to real dog parks - variety is great, but most important this time of year is to beat the heat! So, in the Summer we like to kick it close to home and let's face it - We're not pulling out our fur coats each day, the pups like the AC afforded by the indoors in the hotter parts of the day.
No Potty Parties! :) Lotsa walks and always a wee wee pad just in case. We like to keep those accidents the exception, Meal times are a big deal in a pups life (mine too!) as are the "cookies" or dried chicken breast we use for training rewards and treats. Special accommodations for dogs on special diets. Just let us know about any dietary restrictions.
