I know this is long, but well worth the read. I AM YOUR BABY'S FURRY GODMOTHER! I am changing my status to an EXCLUSIVELY SMALL BREED ONLY HOST! I WILL not take any more than 25 lbs.( The reason for my decision has been because of my experience working with DogVavay. There have been many clients that have found it very difficult to find a Host to watch their small fur children around mine & surrounding areas. They had mentioned places like California, Utah & other states on the West Coast). The exceptions will be for the clients that have already booked with me. I do find it myself from 20-40 lbs. IS quite a difference. I wouldn't want ANY fur child to get hurt on MY watch.
My husband Ron & I are a young 58 yr. old extremely responsible couple. I am a stay at home fur baby Mommy. I cook dinner for my babies on a daily basis & also bake all natural bones & snacks for my fur children & their guests. I have a small dog cookie business called, Juliet's Kitchen. There are absolutely no crates in our home, for the exception of an emergency. It is smoke free, quiet & our furniture is all fur baby friendly. I have recently added a 12x14' beautiful & bright REAL bedroom for our fur children & their guests. It has a twin sized bed, stairs, a few 4 poster dog beds, a few dog couches, a little pup tent, a ONE OF A KIND HAND PAINTED toy box, a dresser for their clothes & also a flat screened TV for your babies to watch nature videos or soothing music while they are napping. I have added these bedroom photos, please take a look. Your babies will sleep with us in our bed if they would like to, or they can sleep in their very own bedroom. They will get plenty of indoor/outdoor exercise. I have a long hallway which they all love to play "chase me". When one plays, they all play & when one rests, they all rest. I offer healthy home made snacks & fresh veggies, with your permission of course. We also make Peanut Butter & Yogurt Popsicles for a nice cool treat for hot summer days. All you have to bring is their regular food (enough for their stay) & favorite bed/blankie, but the bed is not necessary, because they all sleep with us anyways, It is NOT necessary to leave their leashes. I have tons & would not want anyone's personal leash to be lost or misplaced. However, I prefer ALL babies be put into a WALKING HARNESS, because of the fact that your babies necks are so tiny, they could be injured & also, they are much easier to walk as a pack. If you do not have one, I suggest starting to use one or I may have a few they could use while they are with me, Your little darlings will get tons of love & beg you to come back to Aunt Barbie's. I literally have a few dogs that do not want to go home when their parents come for them. I have 2 cats who may hide & 2 female, very docile little dogs who love to play with our guests. All I ask is your dog be 25 lbs. or LESS & not be AGRESSIVE or VERY HYPER. Your little babies will go out for exercise 4 to 5 times a day. With your permission & weather permitting, I take them on car rides, little field trips & for walks around a beautiful nearby pond. I DO NOT charge extra for these trips or baths IF needed. We also have a tiny sized puppy pool for those who like to play in water. After a full day of play, they will each get a private massage at bedtime to encourage "sleepy time". They each get 2 small treats for being good with their massage, Then we ALL climb into our large king sized bed & sleep like babies, although I sleep with one eye open, lol. (Potty breaks right before bed too). PLEASE BE SURE YOUR FUR BABY IS UTD WITH VACCINES & HOUSE TRAINED. If your little one does have an "accident", it will be treated as such.
A NOTE FOR MALES DOGS: You MUST supply your own male dog with a "belly band". These are pamper like material & are disposable. OR go online & buy the washable belly bands for males. The BEST one is called: SIMPLE SOLUTIONS, washable male wrap. Measure your dogs belly & get the correct size. You must also supply the sanitary napkins that go "inside" the belly band. PURCHASE THESE at your grocery store in the feminine hygiene isle. Buy the thick overnighters with the "winged" tabs. (They could be cut in half if needed). They literally wrap around your male dog's belly, so when they lift their leg to "mark", it goes onto the pad that the band holds in place & stays off the floor, etc. This is for the protection of my house/furniture. Whether male dogs are neutered or if they do not piddle or mark in YOUR home, they do however mark their territory in other's home's, because of different scents or other pets that are in the host's home. So don't be surprised if a host tells you your dog was marking. It's their nature. I will not accept ANY male dogs without them, so please plan ahead & have them with you preferably for your dog's Meet & Greet & stay. Females however do not usually "mark" a territory.
A NOTE FOR NEW FEMALE/MALE PUPPIES: It is highly advised you bring a crate for night time use ONLY (or I have one med. sized one here) for the protection of your little ones & also puppy pampers found at your local pet shop. Again: Please be sure to measure your pups belly to be sure & get the correct size.
I send pictures & video updates everyday via cell & or FB.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES: If your fur baby's birthday falls within the time they are here, I bake them a birthday cake & we have a party for them with the rest of the pack being your fur baby's "guest's". We TRY to get all the guests to sit on a chair around the table with the Birthday boy/girl at the head of the table & sing Happy Birthday to them. ALL FREE OF CHARGE!!!
I DO hope you choose me, because
THATS WHAT MAKES ME SPECIAL AS YOUR BABY'S HOST!!
***WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF YOUR FUR BABY HAS FLEAS OR IS NOT ON FLEA PREVENTATIVE***
I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!!
I CHOSE TO BE EXCLUSIVE TO THE SMALLER DOG BREED!
I mainly babysit for fur children that are small, as small as 4 lbs. I cannot take ANY baby that is any higher than 12-14" from their collar to the floor There ARE exceptions for every dog that comes here. There are no automatic rejections until the day of the Meet & Greet where I can personally assess how they walk on leash, if they are jumpers, how they play with others or are food or toy aggressive. I have a nice quiet, well behaved pack that know each other personally & usually helps me assess the new pack member & gives me the paw's up. I personally make it my business to let ALL the babies know that I AM STILL THEIR #1 PACK LEADER!
AT THE MEET & GREET: I ask the parents to come onto my large enclosed GATED deck & immediately take off their pups leash & put them down while the others stay in my home, I watch what their baby's do & let them sniff around. I then let MY two dogs out. I ask the parents not to be nervous & to keep talking with me & ask me questions. If all seems to be going well, I let the rest out to get to know each other. All while this is happening, I ask the parents to stand in one place & JUST observe. Dogs have their own way of meeting. Lifting their legs & sniffing each other is a way of saying hello, so no embarrassment needed. If no problems seem to exist, I let them out in my unfenced yard, but each has their own tie out attached to them & the leashes are long enough to stay in one back area of my med. sized yard. Plenty of room to run & play while staying in my sight at all times, far away from the quiet road I live on. THIS lets me know HOW they all play together as a group. If your pup seems to be a good match for my pack, then you will be asked to fill out papers with your dogs information. Be prepared to spend approximately 1 hour, as I also show you where the babies are allowed in my home.
The following days will have a price increase of $5.00 added onto my normal low cost of $32.00 per night & will be sent a CUSTOM QUOTE accordingly:
