Our family lives in a single house at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. It has a nice fenced in backyard with lots of grass to run and 2 self closing gates. The rear one opens to the neighborhood walking trails. It also has a large upper deck (best squirrel/rabbits "watch tower" ever). It also has a gate and when closed, it allows for that space to become a free roaming extension of the kitchen. There is no carpeting on the main (beside a few rugs) and 2nd level so it is easy to keep our floors clean in case of accidents.
Nutella is our 6 year old female Airedale (approx. 42lb). We adopted her 5 years ago from a rescue group. She is playful and looking forward to meeting her new playmate! Bring your dog's favorite toys and bed/crate or use ours. She doesn't mind! No extra charge for playtime in our household for sure.
She gets 2 daily walks of around 1/2h either with me or our son (16 years old). My husband takes over on the weekend for much longer ones. They like to exercise together!
I have a part time job with the summer off and my husband works most days from home. We understand that dogs don't like to be alone and always keep those times to a minimum. When it happens, Nutella has free range of the first floor and our master bedroom even though she is also crate trained.
Over the years we have hosted many of our friends' dogs and I always believed this is the best environment for our pets while traveling and being away. A home away from home. I was so pleased to find a website and service which promotes that philosophy for pet owners in our area. Our experience with DogVacay is growing and we have been enjoying every minute of it! Lots of dogs have come through our doors and repeat customers are the best as we get to see our favorite dogs again.
Cant wait to get to know your pet and make him/her part of our family!
