Hi there! I'm Maxine. I'm a patient, kind, and playful pet sitter located in Glendale, CA, with tons of experience, time, and love to offer your furry friend. I work full-time out of my home office as a branding specialist and creative director, so I’m always available to care for, love on, and keep you updated about your beloved pet.
As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, I understand how stressful it can be to leave your beloved friend behind, even if it’s just for a few days. I joined Rover because I want to offer the same loving, focused care that we would want for our own furry family member and best friend, Mikey the miniature poodle.
Your pet will love staying with us because I have a flexible schedule and can provide personalized attention all day long. Based on your wants and needs, I’ll provide your furry friend with exciting experiences:
Neighborhood walks twice a day
Dog park trips and weekend hiking
Orthopedic bed and comforting blanket
A take-home treat or toy!
Besides my passion for dog psychology, I am patient, sensitive, affectionate, caring, and reliable. My home is clean, private, non-smoking, and spacious enough for your furry friend to comfortably join our household.
The next time you make travel plans, give me a call! I would love to provide a loving, comfortable retreat for your fur baby and a completely stress-free trip for you. I speak English, Spanish, and Armenian—so say hi in whichever language you feel most comfortable!
**I welcome dogs and cats that are under 50 pounds, potty-trained, and up to date on flea/tick preventative. I also love taking care of rabbits and puppies that are less than a year old!
What Maxine would like to know about your dog -
I'd like to know anything and everything about your beloved friend! The more I know, the more comfortable I can make your pet. To make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and relaxed in my home, I ask that you spend at least 15-20 minutes with me when dropping off your pet.
Here are a few questions I’ll ask about your dog:
1. Is your dog aggressive towards people or animals?
2. Is your dog suffering from any ailments?
3. Does your dog take medication?
4. Does your dog have any allergies?
5. Does your dog get along with other animals (cats, dogs, and/or rabbits)?
If you’d like, I can also email you a list of questions prior to your puppy's stay. Although I love all breeds, I currently only watch dogs that are 50 pounds and under.
When your dog stays with Maxine -
Because I work from home, I can provide an unmatched level of attention and love while you’re away from your fur baby. When your precious pet stays with Mikey and me, we’ll make him feel like a member of our own family!
Here’s what I can provide for every furry friend (customizable according to your wishes):
DAILY EXERCISE: We will go for daily, gentle neighborhood walks, at least twice a day for 20 to 30 minutes each time. I provide poop bags, but please bring a good harness and a leash. For extended stays (15+ days), I’ll also take your pup to the local dog park to provide extra exercise and time for socializing.
DOGGY SPA: All dogs love a good canine massage! I will brush your dog every two days with a clean, sanitized, professional-grade brush to bond and ease any separation anxiety. After a thorough brushing to detangle hair and eliminate shedding, I’ll finish with a grapefruit spray made especially for dogs.
AT-HOME PLAY: Our home has plenty of pre-sanitized toys for your puppy to enjoy. Your pet will get to take home one at the end of the stay, as well!
PEACEFUL REST: Your puppy will relax in an upscale orthopedic bed designed for health and comfort. I also provide a special blanket to keep your pup cozy and play soft music to ease any separation anxiety.
WEEKEND ADVENTURES: I go to a new dog-friendly walking or hiking spot every Sunday and can take your pup with me for exercise and fun. Check out my profile pictures to see some of the recent trips we’ve taken to Chandler’s Bike Trail, Rose Bowl, Bonelli Park, and Brand Park.
