About Melany

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I have a genuine love for animals, and concern for their health, happiness, and well being. I have owned or cared for almost every kind and size of animal there is with success! I might not be your pet's human parent but I can be their favorite "auntie"!

You can be confident that your precious pooch will get walks, playtime and snuggle time every single day they are with Auntie Mel!

I limit my dog hosting capacity per stay so I am able to spend my time and attention on each special pet(s) to give him/her the vacay they deserve!
To put it in "people" terms, I function more like an auntie or nanny to continue their at home routines and less like a busy daycare away from home :-).

I really strive to help my pups feel as much 'at home' as possible. So, when we meet, I will have my handy-dandy notebook with me and I will ask you questions on what sort of things they like and don't like (as well as medical info etc.)so I can be sure to make his/her stay as unique and special as they are! Do they have a special toy or blanket? Bring it along!

Our much loved family dog passed away of old age last year. Rather then replace our irreplaceable doggy, we have chosen to be extended family to other people's pets. It has been so rewarding!

We are a happy and healthy family home environment ready to make sure your family pet is happy and healthy too.

Our house is large with a large fenced backyard. We can go for walks, play in the backyard and enjoy cuddles. With my work from home schedule your pet will get constant attention and feel right at home and cared for.

Melany is seriously the best! She watched our two dogs, Kiwi and Rousey, for the weekend. They can be a handful as one is an 8 year old Pitbull and the other a 2 year old Lab, but Melany was amazing and sent many pictures and videos of all the fun they were having. This was our first time having someone else watch our dogs and she made us feel comfortable and excited to have our dogs to stay with her. We will definitely be repeat customers and our dogs already love her and her family so much.

Laila's stay with Melany was wonderful. I loved the videos and the pics Melany sent me it was comforting to know my four legged baby was loved and well taken care of. Thank u.
I can't say enough nice things about Melany, and how caring and attentive she is towards my Storm. I can be a high maintenance dog mommy, especially since my dog can be a runner and escape artist, particularly when bored, but Melany was understanding and assured me my dog was not only safe but loved and cared for while I was at work. She was flexible and understanding towards my situation and as I was new to town and between housing, she quite frankly was vital in caring for my dog as I navigated a new job and moving. She sent me regular photo and video updates during the day, was very prompt with text/phone communication, and I felt she was very observant of my dog and her habits. It's important to Melany to spend solid time playing and bonding with those in her care. My dog was more comfortable with her from the start, where she usually would take more time to warm up to new people and places. As a plus, Melany's home is lovely, her yard very secure, and overall well structured for a dog like mine. I would definitely use her services again and recommend her very highly. I couldn't ask for more from this experience.

Melany is kind, loving and professional. She took excellent care of my little one while I was away.
Loving care in a loving home:
Our little doggie, Opal Sue, is definitely part of our family, thus we are pretty darn picky about her care.
Melany and her family provided us with such a great environment for Opal while we were away. Playing, walking, snuggling, and even sleeping in a bed with humans made for one happy pup.
