I know how hard it is to leave my dog at a commercial kennel. I worried about my special needs dogs constantly. I don't want any other owners to suffer from the worry that I have had in finding quality, personal over-night care. (I have loved, owned, and cared for 2 diabetic dogs, one who lived to be 18 and the other 14. One dog died while being boarded at a commercial kennel and discovered Dog Vacay when I was looking for other options for over - night care.)
I wasn't always a dog person. When I graduated from college, I got a cat and that cat traveled with me. I had him for 18 great years. When I married, I got a dog in that deal (I was determined not to like that dog as he had belonged to my husband's ex-wife). Tucker, a little Min Pin, stole my heart and soon, I was taking him for rides in my bicycle basket and walking him all over town. My current fur babies are Candy and Trixie, my mother-in-law's dog Jazz comes for visits but doesn't stay with me often.
We have a fenced in back yard with plenty of fresh air. We have chickens and a garden and a pasture wtih a mowed path for walking. My 14 year old daughter is an animal lover and loves to snuggle with dogs.
I want to offer you the peace of mind of knowing that we will care for your pet like they are part of the famaily.
