About Molly

30 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Here at "Au Pair de Pooch", your dog is not just a "pet" it is an extension of our family as long as they are here! Make a reservation in November and December and receive a stocking with goodies or a jar of treats!

We are currently accepting bookings well into the Fall and Holiday season for 2016/2017. Please email to set up your Meet-N-Greet, prior to booking, if you new to us!

Aside from the customary 3x daily updates with video; Continuing in 2017 is the Dog Channel from Directv, for those down times! And if your dog is a swimmer, the pool is closed until May, but we still have outdoor agility dog playtime with sprinklers if the weather is warm enough! MOST IMPORTANTLY WE ARE NOW CERTIFIED IN DOG FIRST AID AND CPR.

We offer multiple supervised swim times, if dogs are in the pool then so are we. Safety is always the # 1 priority. Please feel free to reserve your space as soon as you know you are going to

During Meet--greets you will learn about what we offer, photos, our mission, and most importantly our Golden Retrievers, Greta and Durango! We can take this time to meet your pup(s) and your family and you get to meet all of us also! We can also tell you about our vast experience caring for animals, including specialized animal behavior training, at the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and Teaching Hospital.

Also this year, is the resurfacing of the backyard with 3/8 Yavapai Coral for landscaping, This allows for greater ease for running and playing tennis ball (fetch)! The pool's entire water has been changed and is totally pristine and fresh for a new swimming season for pups! If you pup is not a swimmer, no worries, we have poolside umbrellas with cold towels so they can watch.

Our home is residence to Greta, our 5 year old Golden Retriever, and our Field Golden, Durango, who is our 3 year old male, both shepherded by our son, who is 11. Socialization, swimming, ball time and fun is always on tap. During the day, I am at home and offer many opportunities for play, swimming and towels to dry off, plenty of yard space to roam completely fenced in, along with frisbee's and tennis balls galore!

If its quiet you need, we can dial it back and give your pooch Frosty Paws ice cream, throw in a black and white DVD and some comfy blankets for movie night with the family. If your pooch is still crate training, no problem, we have a large crate in the living room. We have raised dogs our entire lives (over 25 years of experience), and love to give them the attention we would want for our dogs when we leave town for vacation. While your pet is here, feel free to call daily to check up; we send photos and short videos at your request and as often as you like. We've even done face time on iPhones with extended stays. We have been boarding dogs in our home for several years, and can provide numerous references. We have a tendency to draw Goldens to our home but love and accept all breeds, big or small!

Our MISSION is to provide you with as much information as you need to feel safe and comfortable while you are away and to love your pet and shower it with attention. Our PHILOSOPHY is so you can relax and enjoy time off. If your concerned if your pups are eating while you are away, our pictures and videos do the trick to reassure you they are doing well. A wagging tail never lies!

As an additional service, we offer pick up and drop off services for a nominal fee, to make life a little easier when working or on trips. Its nice to arrive home from a long trip and have your best friend already at home waiting for you!

We currently offer doggy daycare (in addition to overnight boarding)! We would be happy to keep your pup entertained while you’re away for the day.

All of our dog beds and toys are purchased directly from the Humane Society of the United States, so that proceeds from the purchase goes directly to HSUS to continue advocacy, and education. It goes without saying, but all of our bedding, bowls are sanitized both during visits and at the conclusion of stays.
Please note late afternoon and early evening pickups (on the last day) may result in an additional charge for that day, which will be discussed prior to confirmation of booking.

Molly and her family, including two golden retrievers, welcomed Finn and treated him like family. He had a great time playing with them all. Molly sent pics and videos several times a day so his " parents",who were leaving him for the first time, could relax knowing he was in good hands. We would definitely recommend Molly to take care of your pooch!

Molly was awesome. She sent pictures/videos frequently. It calmed my nerves as it was the first time that I left my puppy. Her Golden retrievers were great company for my dog and extremely patient. Sedona came home exhausted (an added bonus!). I have already told my dog owner friends about how wonderful she is. I will definitely use Molly again.

Our dog, Jesse, just loves going to Molly''s. He forgets all about his mom and dad. had just has a great active vacation of his own. He gets along with the other dogs and they play together wonderfully.

We actually miss Jesse less because we know he's getting lots of attention and affection when he stays at Molly's. She sends us pictures and videos of Jesse every day.

We have never felt so comfortable leaving our golden doodle with Molly and family. She is very knowledgeable about what motivates golden retrievers and their kin. Jesse got along very well with her 2 goldens, and got plenty of playtime activities. Upon picking Jesse up, we immediately booked him for another stay for March 18-21 (3 nights this time). We would highly recommend Molly to any of our golden retriever and lab friends!

Overall experience with Molly and her family was good. They were very welcoming of our pup and definitely took care of him as part of their own while we were away. He seemed to get along pretty well with their two goldens. She also sent regular updates via text with photos and videos. Initially I was worried about how my little puppy ( 5 month old) would do with such big dogs but they were so gentle with him. This made me feel very comfortable knowing they were so caring of him.

I did have a little bit of an issue with some last minute arrangements with Molly, although she was very accommodating she definitely let me know about it, which as a "customer" I kind of didnt appreciate. They also have some very particular procedures when it comes to dropping off/picking up puppy. It is all done outside of their home, rather than just a simple on knock on the door. This was a little bit uncomfortable for me, others may feel different.

Another great Dog Vacay with Molly. Our dog loved supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month with the pink bandana and pink tennis ball Molly gave her. Lots of pictures and videos were sent while we were away. Thanks for treating our dog like part of your family!

Nicki loves Molly, etc. and it is a relief to know she is considered part of the family.
Great visit!!
Molly was great, and Nicki loved staying with her. We will definitely use her again.
Leaving our pet, Sadie, with Molly was very easy to do. Molly made it a point to ensure Sadie felt comfortable when we did our meet-and-greet. Molly sent us pictures daily. On our way home she was quite proactive and sent us a text asking if she should feed her dinner before we arrived. I'm glad she asked as Sadie has a sensitive stomach and the ride home could have been unpleasant. We would definitely recommend Molly to anyone who wants to leave their pet with a responsible, sensitive and loving caretaker. Plus, I like her name. :)

Fantastic experience! So caring--made puppy feel just like family!
As always, Molly and her family took very good care of our little girl. She came home happy and energized. We so appreciate being able to have our dog stay with Molly and her family because we know she will always be safe and loved.
As always Nyani had a great time at Molly's. We got frequent picture updates and a cute video of her while she was there. We love knowing that Nyani is well taken care of whenever we have to leave her. Molly and her family are wonderful hosts.
We had to make a last minute reservation. Molly responded very quickly and our dog went to stay over the next day. We always feel so comfortable having our dog stay with Molly and her family. We received a text message shortly after we were on the road to our destination showing our dog and Molly's dog Greta getting along like old friends.

Our dog Nyani had a great time hanging out with Molly and her family for a week. We got lots of updates and pictures to let us know how she was doing. She was right at home there with the family dog Greta. Greta even let Nyani sleep in her bed. Molly's 8 year old son also let Nyani sleep in his bed. It was so nice to be able to relax on our vacation and know that our doggy daughter was being well taken care of.
