About Lisa

25 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi and thanks for visiting my profile!!

I may be new to DogVacay, but I'm not new to pet sitting! I have been a pet sitter/walker/hiker for over 20 years. I have many regular clients in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and great references. I am on Iphone, WhatsApp and texting so you can always know what is going on in your pets life. I am personally Facebook connected and also you can visit me on Facebook at AT HOME COMFORT PET CARE. I rarely post pics of my boarders, as I do not want to advertise that you may be away.

I have 17 acres of path/play area with safe and clean water access as well as good knowledge of local parks and hiking trails from northern Massachusetts to the mountains of New Hampshire, I do not run a kennel!! I handle only one family at a time, and I can walk many at a time. My new vehicle is dog friendly, and my home is easy access just off rte 93 in central New Hampshire, well off the road with a large yard and only 2 steps up to the main floor. Inside, dogs can sleep wherever they like (on my leather furniture, padded cages, or the heated wood floor) just not in my bed (unless of course, my cats approve of them). I use a single baby gate that blocks my bedroom and a hallway to basement and backdoor, so my cats have a lot of the house to be in, but not the main living space where the dogs will be.

I personally practice holistic health care and am very familiar with raw diet and vitamins, essential oils as tick prevention and relaxation techniques, though I always follow owner preferences as discovered in initial 'meet & greet' meetings. I am very familiar with special needs, geriatric and behavior problems. I reserve the right to refuse any issues that I believe are out of my capacity.

I prefer to have an initial meet&greet with all my customers! This is not always possible as I have advertised that I will do daycare and sometimes clients come up to ski or play for only a day and don't want to leave their pets at home. For that reason, I will walk and care for their pups in whatever fashion is necessary to make clients trip most pleasant. Because I must be open to occasional new clients without the initial meet&greet, and because I rarely leave pets unattended, especially when they have just arrived, I have priced my services very high. I take my pet families very seriously and they are all loved, respected, and taken wonderful care of. My references will tell you, sometimes they are in no hurry to go home and always love coming back.

I will consider discounting when multiple pets are involved, or longer periods of stay, but we must consult with each other beforehand. Likewise, I require that you pay extra fees for extra services such as puppies, geriatric problems, special meds and diets dispensed, bathing, combing/brushing, long hiking for active dogs, pick up or delivery, holiday stays, and anything over the 24 hour deadline. A day is considered no more than 24 hours after drop off time, and extra fees will be charged for ANY overages, unless previously agreed upon. For example, a home visit plus a walk/hike may be considered multiple charges. Please make the time for a consult with me beforehand! I will come to you if practical, especially if it is not possible or practical for you to visit with me here in New Hampshire first. Visitors are always welcome, but remember I do not run a kennel and I do not entertain multiple families at one time, so please be considerate and call ahead.

Thanks for reading, and PLEASE call or write if you have any questions. I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
In light and love,
~Lisa

OMG! Lisa is THE BEST!!!! Lisa truly cares about the dogs. She asked about their particular personalities, likes/dislikes, food requirements, exercise etc. She went above & BEYOND caring for my dogs (and for me).

I have an older dog who has exercise etc. She went above & BEYOND caring for my dogs (and for me).

I have an older dog who has digestive problems, arthritis, cataracts and another who is feisty and full of energy. She cared for both expertly.

DogVacay is very lucky to have Lisa.

Lisa is a gem! My dogs (11 and 7mos) were quite at home with Lisa. My dogs are very much used to being outside and hiking. Lisa had them outdoors as much as possible and considering it was the coldest weekend of the year so far she probably had them much as possible and considering it was the coldest weekend of the year so far she probably had them out more than we would ha ha! She's very caring and very attentive to their personalities and their individual needs. She's incredibly compassionate and we trust her implicitly. Last minute,we had to ask her to make a trip to our house to take care of one of our kitties as well and she very quickly was able to accommodate, administer medicine, took care of things around the house and checked on Christmas packages that had arrived… Honestly we couldn't ask for anything more. I highly recommend Lisa and her services.
