Pet care experience

I am both a devoted animal lover and trusted, verified pet caretaker with over five years of serving with Wag and more than seven as an independent contractor. I have over 400 5-star ratings with Wag and was voted in the Top Ten of all Pet Caretakers in the Chicagoland area in 2017. The time your animal(s) spends with me will be full of new smells, long hikes, and sweet cuddles. I am more than a dog walker or house sitter but a best friend to yours. I am insured through Wag as a verified pet caretaker/house sitter. My first priority is always safety, health, and hygiene. As your chosen pet caretaker, I consider myself responsible not only for the well-being of your animal(s) but also the maintenance of your home and ensuing materials (e.g. leashes, dog park passes, house keys). As a graduate from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications, I prioritize professionalism in my bookings through unmatched customer service with photos/videos and other reporting updates. Please feel free to request my resume or professional references for further consideration.

I have trusted Olivia with my dogs for house sittings and walks for two years. She is reliable last minute, makes sure my dogs are healthy and happy, and stays with them the whole time we book together.

Olivia was wonderful staying with our dog! Our dog is a bit skeptical of new people and was right at home after a few minutes with Olivia. We got a ton of updates and they went on great walks…it’s always nice to come home to a tired dog! Highly recommend Olivia.

She was fantastic! It was super short notice and she still accommodated fully for us. I highly recommend her. She took her on walks and sent so many cute pictures. I just can’t say enough good things!

I was Olivia's tutor for about one year while she was in high school. Olivia was a kind, sweet young woman who appeared to be honest and hard working. I am certain that she would treat others' pets with respect and great care.

Information Olivia M. would like to know about your pet

Depending upon the service(s) we arrange together, I prioritize the organization of all important information: allergies/health conditions, emergency contacts, vet information, and triggers/temperament (e.g. relationship with other animals). I also hope to receive a review of your animals' preferences (e.g. number of walks per day) and daily schedules (e.g. meal times, medication administration). I understand the need to be prepared for emergencies in working with animals. I have experience in being skunked, getting bit, and other crises that have helped me master client communication as well as other safety measures. I am open to scheduling a consultation to ensure we are the perfect fit.

A typical day

On each walk, I make sure your best friend(s) will jiggle out the wiggles. Whether we explore a new trail in our favorite forest or simply stroll around a new block, there will always be new smells to learn and spaces to play. Every walk is the best walk ever. When I work with an animal, they have my full attention -- and heart space! I am more than ensuring their safety, health, and hygiene but playing with, cuddling, and training them throughout.
