Miller had a great experience with Cindy, his first trip away from home as a three-month old puppy. He enjoyed Cindy's dog and seeing the horses, and got plenty of exercise. He will definitely be back! Cindy took good care of him and kept us posted oh his adventures.

Cindy is amazing!!!!! She took incredible care of Milo during his overnight stay with her. She sent beautiful photos and videos throughout the day there, so I could see him playing and having fun on her spectacular property. Milo came home happy, relaxed and tired! I couldn't ask for more. I would not hesitate to have Milo stay there again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to take care of their dog.

Cindy was wonderful and after our meet and greet, we knew that our dog would have a great stay with her. She has a large amount of space for the dogs to play outside in a safe fenced area. Cindy sent us many pictures while we were on vacation so we could see our happy dog with her new 4 legged friends! THANK YOU CINDY!

We had never used this service before and needed someone to watch our pup at the last minute due to a family emergency. After a few basic questions, Cindy accepted us graciously, even though she had reached her personal limit. The dogs all got along well. The yard was spacious and provided shade for the high temps of the day. Lyla, Cindy's dog is very sweet. I loved the photos she sent! Two of them were better than any we had ever taken. We loved Cindy and her little farm!

Cindy is professional, caring and a great pet sitter. She sent us lots of pictures and videos of our dog during her week stay, which was terrific. She has a huge fenced in yard where dogs have lots of room to run and play but stay safe and secure. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend Cindy.

Cindy is terrific! She is knowledgable, kind, and a very sweet person who clearly loves dogs. My pup Henry had a great first stay, and I would absolutely bring him back for another day of fun and play when we are in town again! :)
Cindy did a terrific job of caring for Cody during his recent 2 day stay with her. He returned home happy, tired and content. When we first arrived, Cindy took care to acclimate Cody to her wonderful dog, Layla, and her other dog guests. Cindy has a wonderful feel for and sensitivity to the dogs (and animals) in her care. She meets all their needs with her generous spirit & thoughtful consideration. Cody had ample time to run & play in Cindy's large fenced in yard space. He loved running in the morning before breakfast, under the moon in the evenings. and walking the trails in the afternoons. When Cody's sleeping spot needed adjustment, Cindy sensitively situated his a sleep situation so that he was comfortable. She sent us updates, photos & videos. Cindy's kind heart, expertise and wonderful yard & dog friendly home will ensure that your dog has a wonderful vacation. I highly recommend Cindy to care for your dog.

Cindy is a dog whisperer. She takes incredible care and attention to every dog that walks through her door! I couldn't believe how professional and good she was with our two dogs-- they could not have been in better hands with ANYONE. She is also an excellent pet portraitist and I was thrilled to get photo updates of my two boys while we were away. I couldn't recommend her more highly!!

Cindy and Heinz are terrific. They have always taken great care of our lab and are wonderfully communicative throughout the stay.
Excellent care, communication and enthusiasm.
Incredibly wonderful, caring and communicative.
I don't think I could have left my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in more capable hands than Cindy's! While we were on vacation the dogs were on vacation as well!
Cindy and Lila were the most wonderful host. This was Fred's first stay and she knew exactly how ease his anxiety and did everything to make him feel right at home. Cindy checked in right away to let us know how he was doing and also sent photos, videos and shared daily activities of our dog which was so awesome to get. Cindy has a large fenced yard and Fred had such a fun time playing and running around with Lila and the other dogs. We are very happy with our experience and all the attention and care she provided our dog during his five night stay. We highly recommend Cindy and definitely will be coming back.

We are so grateful for the care that Cindy gave to our dog Mickey while we were away. We came back to a better behaved dog then when we left. Never in a million years did we ever think we would get Mickey out of our bed at night. Now, thanks to Cindy, he sleeps on his bed on the floor at the foot of our bed. We are thrilled!!! She helped us with his fear of loud noises by introducing us to the Anxiety Wrap and showing us that it actually helps him. She's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to animals, and just a wonderful person overall. You are getting so much more than just a dog sitter here. You really get expert advice in dog/ animal behavior and she truly goes out of her way to make sure that your pet is happy and secure while you are away from them. She sent us texts every day with short video clips just to let us know how he was doing. We highly, highly recommend her.

This was another great stay for my dog. We can't imagine another sitter to beat Cindy's care. Thanks again for the photos and videos Cindy!
Prior to meeting Cindy, we visited other sitters only to find a "crate-and-walk" routine. We were thrilled and comforted knowing our dog would have great care after meeting with Cindy. She took time for a "meet and greet" with us and our dog. From the start, we could tell Cindy had the patience, training, and care for animals that would make for a great sitter. Just as we wondered how our dog was doing on her first stay with Cindy, we were set at ease by the photos and movies sent to our cell phones to show how our dog was enjoying her stay. Cindy's right-hand-gal, Lila, is a super buddy and trainer for our dog also. That is yet another level of service you can count on at Cindy's. If the world gave attention and care to others as Cindy cares for our animals, we would be in a perfect world indeed!

Cindy is more than a sitter. As a dog trainer who grew up on a farm, she truly understands, and communicates with each individual animal. There is a huge fenced in yard for the dogs, and they stay in her family's cozy house. Cindy will spend time talking with you about your pet, and their needs. Her training tips for me have been so valuable!

I have three big dogs; a young crazy Lab boy, another Lab with a disability, and a beautiful but intense shepherd mix. They are all so excited to go to Cindy's! She handles them with grace and aplomb. Cindy is optimistic, and gentle, and will care for your dog with love, and a firm sense of boundaries that helps to put any dog at ease. My dogs actually come home more well behaved than before their Cindy vacation! Nothing Cindy does is fear based. Her discipline is always caring, and compassionate.

I also enjoy Cindy's company. Her gentle compassion, and positive personality extend beyond the realm of animals. It's just who she is!

Both you and your pup will have a wonderful experience with Cindy!

Cindy and Lila are most accommodating. My dog Lily is always very comfortable and made to feel very welcome. She feels like she is at home with them!
Cindy is the best sitter ever! She’s smart, experienced, and carefully assessed my newly adopted dog's behavior and personality so that she could provide what the dog needed. She went above and beyond all expectations - even slept on the couch to ensure my dog's peaceful sleep time. My dog had a wonderful experience. I could tell from the pictures Cindy sent me what a happy adventure the dog had. Thank you, Cindy.

Cindy was amazing with my three big dogs. One is a puppy, one has a disability, and one is an active Shepherd... Not a sitting job for the faint of heart! Cindy was loving, professional, and attentive. She really understood their physical, and psychological needs. I swear, they were better when I picked them up than when I dropped them off!

There was a huge fenced in area where they could romp and play. She stayed outside with them, and spent a great deal of time getting to know each dog.

I would recommend Cindy to anyone who truly wants to feel not only comfortable, but excited to leave their dogs somewhere. It was a little out of the way for me, but I would drive three times the distance for an experienced, and fun sitter like Cindy!

We had to find on short notice somebody to take care of our 2 year old male Great Dane, Thor, who has never been watched by anybody besides our family. We didn't want to put him in a kennel, since he is very active dog, who loves to play all day, gets walked and only uses the kennel to sleep. He is also very needy. He loves to be around people and needs alot of love, snuggle time and attention. I never thought I would find anybody who would be able to replace us. When we met Cindy at the meet and greet my husband and I both liked her right away. She was very confident getting Thor and her own sweet female Rottweiler Lila aquainted. Thor is very wild in play and scared Lila. But Cindy knew exactly how to get them to know and respect each other. She spent 3 hours with us just to make us comfortable leaving Thor with their family, never rushed in any way. 3 days later we dropped Thor off to leave him for the weekend. Cindy greeted us as friendly and relaxed as 3 days earlier. Thor was excited, he knew something was up.We brought Thor's huge kennel, blankets, large feeder, toys etc. we invaded Cindy's house. Thor stormed into the house like an elephant in a china store. But no sign of stress from Cindy. She was beautiful making us feel at ease and was just as calm with Thor. I could go on and on how great everything was. Thor was very sad to leave. Also Cindys husband Heinz was just as friendly and kind. Can't find anybody better to leave my dog! Thanks for everthing Cindy!

We've used Cindy repeatedly because she is a tremendous dog sitter in the way she creates a safe, secure, loving and fun environment for our dog. We've been delighted with her services each and every time -- and recommend her as she really knows what's she's doing. Also -- we very much appreciate her text and video clip updates. They help us feel connected.

As always, Cindy took great care of our dogs, who can be pretty demanding. She also sends us updates during their stay and has been really flexible with pick up and drop off times.
Our second time leaving our dog with Cindy over the holidays was as successful as the first. We have found a person we intend on using whenever we travel and have no plans on looking anywhere else. Cindy knows and loves dogs.
We continue to have wonderful experiences with Cindy. She takes incredible care of our Lab and is a terrific communicator. Her home/property is ideal for dogs. Cindy listens and does whatever it takes. A real gem!
Cindy was so great with Lily. We haven't left her with anyone other than family before, and I know that Lily felt right at home with her.
Cindy was attentive to her older dog needs and made her feel comfortable and special.
I will absolutely recommend her to friends.

Izzy had a great time with Cindy! Cindy is not only a great pet sitter, but a great trainer as well. She taught Izzy some new tricks and we can tell that she got lots of attention. We look forward to our next visit with Cindy!
Cindy is an excellent sitter. I left my little buddy with her recently for a week and he had a great time. When I picked him up and sat with her for awhile he was playing around and being silly so I knew he was not in a hurry to leave - that told me he was comfortable and happy in her home! She shared videos of him everyday so I could see him playing with the other dogs or chewing on a bone or taking a nap. It really comforted me to know that he wasn't left alone. She is a good dog person and she worked with him to show off his best qualities. I trust her and would not hesitate to leave him with her again.

Cindy is fantastic. She cares tremendously about the dogs under her care and is passionate about understanding their behavior and needs. She took care of our 4 month old puppy for a week and she not only took excellent care of him, but did training with him, and sent us many pictures and movies showing us what he was doing. Our puppy got a lot of socialization with other dogs and animals, got a ton of exercise, and worked on his manners. I wholeheartedly recommend Cindy.

Cindy was amazing. Her property is a dog's dream come true and her skills and knowledge about dog care really put us at ease. We're pretty picky about who we let take care of our dog since she is on the smaller size and needs a watchful eye to make sure she does't get trampled. After spending just a few minutes with Cindy during our initial meet and greet, it was clear that our pup would be in good hands. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience with Cindy. After our dog stayed at Cindy's for two days, he was calm and confident. He did not exhibit any of the pent up anxiety that he normally would after being separated from us and in a new environment for several days. (He was a stray & a shelter dog and is still learning to relax)

Cindy has a real empathy for dogs. She naturally helps you see the best in your dog. If you want further advice or insight, she will share her insights about your dog, but she does not force them on you.

Our dog is fairly anxious and has separation anxiety. She thought of several fun activities for him that helped distract him.

She sent us photos and a video of him while he was there. It was really fun for us to see what he was up to and helped us feel good about leaving him behind.

Cindy did a great job with Bella. She is high energy and Cindy made a point to keep her exercised and happy. I would recommend her to others. We feel Bella is safe and secure when we are gone.
As always Cindy takes very good care of my dog.
We have never taken our dog Lenny to a kennel. We always relied on friends to watch him while we were away. However, this does not always work and is an imposition for long trips. Out of desperation we finally looked on the web for options to cover 4 days at the end of a 10 day trip. We found Cindy and it worked out fabulously. After an initial meeting for Lenny to meet Cindy's dog Lila (a very gentle dog) and her chickens and horses, we decided to go for it. While we were away we received daily photos and videos of Lenny and Lila playing and Lenny appearing exhausted in his bed. He was basically staying in Cindy's home with a person who clearly LOVES dogs and understands them. We were thrilled with the entire experience and will certainly be taking Lenny to visit Cindy again. This has also made it much easier for us to make travel plans in the future knowing that we have a fun, safe and loving place for Lenny. It was like Doggy overnight camp.

Eli is more excited to go on his vacation with Cindy then we are to go on our vacation. He comes home happy, healthy and relaxed. He once again had a great visit and since this was his second time with Cindy I did not worry about him at all. I have tried a lot of pet sitters and family members and it has always been a hassle and worry to get someone to care for Eli. Cindy is a true blessing and so wonderful, I no longer worry about Eli because I know that he is in the best possible hands. Thank you again Cindy!!

Cindy is absolutely wonderful. She is a true animal-lover and professional.

Her home is the perfect setting for dogs to play as it has a very large fenced-in area which is clean and well-kept. Cindy made sure to keep us updated on our dog's stay so we never had to worry about our pup's happiness, safety etc., we were well informed the entire time.

Cindy's resident rot, Lila, is the most well behaved dog I have ever met, and was very welcoming and patient with my excitable German Wirehaired pointer, Macie. Macie had a wonderful time and actually seemed sad to leave! It's a good feeling to know that when my family and I are on vacation that our dogs get treated to some extra-special time as well - and the icing on the cake is that the price is extremely reasonable. Thank you, Cindy for welcoming our animals into your home and for being so great at what you do!

If I were to try to describe the qualities of the (theoretically and impossibly) perfect kennel and pet sitter, I'd be stuck for words, so I'd suggest you visit Cindy to see for yourself what those qualities are.
Some clues: the house and fenced in yard are clean and spacious, Lilah, the resident Rottweiller, is as well-behaved and playful a dog as you're likely to come accross on this planet, Cindy is as savvy an animal trainer as I've ever met, and the dogs are continuously supervised!!!
The only issue I can think of is that your pet may not want to go home.

Excellent on all counts. Our dog has stayed here many times and everything has been wonderful from communication to actual care with very nice and considerate hosts.
This was Eli's first stay with Cindy and it will not be his last stay!! She was incredible with him and the communication, pictures and videos assured us that he was happy and we could relax even more during our vacation. Eli is a difficult dog but under Cindy's loving and skillful watch he was no trouble and he even made a few friends. Lila (resident rottie) is such a wonderful hostess to her guests and a super sweetheart. Eli came home to us tired, happy and healthy. We are looking for our next vacation and Eli is looking forward to a return visit with Cindy!!

Cindy is INCREDIBLE! She related to our dog, Jackson, instantly. Jackson is a four year old Dachshund who's had some run-ins with large (80+ pound) dogs, but Cindy helped him become "best friends" with her impeccably trained Rottweiler as well as two other large dogs. They romped around Cindy's large fenced-in yard daily until exhausted. Cindy also, with the utmost kindness, helped Jackson give up some annoying habits that we were unsuccessfully struggling with. Our vacation was a two week stay in Maui, but I can't help but believe that Jackson's vacation was even better than ours! The pictures that she sent were our daily treat.

We needed to find coverage for our new dog on very short notice and Cindy was very accommodating. Because this was the first time we were leaving Gypsy we were a bit apprehensive, but after reading the wonderful reviews and meeting her we were not concerned at all. She truly is a dog person who takes her job very seriously. She not only is extremely knowledgeable about dogs (training, behaviors, feeding, schedules, exercise, etc) but she cares deeply for all her "clients." Her home is set up perfectly to house dogs with clean areas for them to sleep/rest as well as a very large fenced in backyard and deck around her house. Gyspy enjoyed many hours of play outside with Cindy's dog as well as another dog boarding there. There were plenty of toys and Cindy was out there with them supervising their play. I know Gypsy was comfortable with Cindy because she ate all her meals! Cindy sent numerous photos and videos of Gypsy interacting throughout the day with the other dogs. Many times she even wrote commentaries about how she was doing. This was so reassuring to have while we were away. I wouldn't hesitate to use Cindy and highly recommend her services. I'm not so sure Gypsy wanted to come back home with us. I know she misses her play buddies! I feel so much better about leaving Gypsy with Cindy rather than a kennel. It's truly a vacation for dogs!

This was the first time we were leaving Chaski and we couldn't have made a better choice than going with Cindy! We were worried because Chaski is a rescue and had shown some difficult behavior socializing with other dogs. But Cindy was loving and patient and in the pics and videos that she would send on a daily basis we could see Chaski interacting perfectly with her other canine companions! Additionally, Cindy shared a lot of great tips with us as new "parents". We have already reserved our next visit!

Cindy is the greatest host a dog could ask for. My daughter is a vet assistant & sees dogs come in for boarding regularly. No matter how good the care is, the dogs stay in kennels, stressed from the noises & activity around them & board from not enough activities for them. They go out into a small gravel yard a few times a day to relieve themselves & get some fresh air & that's about it. Dogs that come in engage in repetitive behaviors like pacing, weaving & barking. Clearly not a good time! At Cindy's, my dogs ran & played & chewed bones & had a GREAT time. Although they were happy to be home, they came home tired, relaxed & happy. I think they had a nicer vacation than I did!!! I wish everyone knew there were alternatives to kenneling their pups when they go away!!!

Our dog buddy had a good time playing with other dogs, happy and very tired when he came home.
Cindy did a great job caring for my dog Aussie. He is actually behaving better than when he went there. I would highly recommend her. I really appreciated the photo updates while we were away.
I needed to board my 3 month old silky terrier and Cindy was great! Charlie was well taken care of, part of her family for the weekend, and very happy. We received videos daily and pictures too, so we didn't even have a chance to miss her. We definitely would leave Charlie with Cindy again and know that she was in good hands.

I have boarded my dogs with her for years- despite having to travel over an hour to drop them off. This is not because she's my mother, but because she is so great with dogs! I have lived out of state and had to search for good boarding for my previous foster dog, who had serious separation anxiety, so I know it's hard to find good boarding! She works from home, so she is always near the phone and computer to respond to boarding requests. Her property is perfect for romping and she even has a fenced in area for them to play worry free! If I had to sum it up, I'd say Archer had a great stay at Animal Fare's Almost Home Dog Care! What a great idea instead of boarding your dog at the cold, lonely vet's office, or in a mass room of crates, only to be taken out to use the potty. I am a VERY picky, strict pet Momma...She complied with my requests and is always so accommodating. Once you meet her and see her interaction with your dog (and her dogs) you will have no doubts about her talent and knowledge with dog handling.

Cindy's house is set back from the road, which makes my worries about accidents much less. There is a large, grassy, fenced in area (the fence is over 5' high) where Archer can romp to his heart's desire, without worry about cars, or getting lost in a new place. The wrap around deck is also gated off, for play time close to the house. Reports are that Archer played a lot! I can tell, he's pooped! (A working Momma loves a pooped Pooch!).

This was also a wonderful option because Archer's routine can sometimes be more in depth than others. I feed raw and give vitamins and supplements with every meal. As someone who has a vast amount of knowledge on dog nutrition, Cindy had no problem meeting our special feeding requests. Archer ate his normal raw food and got all of his supplements with no hitches! (She is also a retailer for BRAVO raw diet, so she totally understood Mommas can be "picky" about their Pup's food!).

Archer slept in a crate while at Animal Fare and Cindy took him out just before bed and first thing in the morning, just like Momma does!

Cindy also offered training and nail filing (with the necessary training) for an additional fee- a two for one! Thank you DogVacay!-Lena
