4 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
If you're looking for the family dog experience, you've come to the right place!

I've always loved animals, ever since I was a child, and while I didn't get my own dog until I was grown up, I have had other animals growing up like chickens and rabbits and birds, and have always been around people with dogs. I've had my own dogs, one for 4 years and the other for 1 year so far. Both are rescues, so I understand the trials and tribulations of rescuing a dog, but of course I also understand the joy of seeing a dog happy!

Throughout having my own dogs, friends I have made through dog walking have asked me to look after their dogs and have always been happy with them staying with me, so I have looked after many different breeds with varying temperaments! All have ultimately been a delight to have! All dogs who stay with me will be treated as my own!

Since I don't work, my own dogs get 3/4 walks a day, depending on how hot/cold it is. These walks vary from 30 minutes - hour round one of the local parks to 3/4 hour hikes round trails in reservations. Purely depends on how hot it is during the day. I would never over exercise a dog, especially in this heat. That being said, if we do go out in the heat, I always carry water with me, or at least walk somewhere I know has a natural water resource. We will walk rain or shine! A tired dog is a happy dog after all :) If your dog likes to go to the dog park, there are a few I like to go to sometimes, like Brookdale, South Mountain, and there is a fantastic one in Wantage that is 8 acres of fenced field! But I will only take them after explicit permission from the owner. Whatever is the preference, rest assured your dog will be well exercised!

Inbetween walks, dogs have full access to the *mostly* fenced yard, there is 1 section that has a very low fence which, while it is blocked up by chairs, no dog would ever be left unattended in the yard, so no chance to escape anyway. It is a pretty big, grassy yard with lots of toys in it. If it's raining, we might play some games indoors instead, like find the treat or chase! We're a pretty active household either way!

Pooches will have full roam of the house, no room/piece of furniture is off limits, your dog will certainly be treated as part of our family! We have wooden/tile floors throughout, lots of toys, lot of chairs/leather sofa for lazing and plenty of treats! Whether you have a velcro dog or one that is aloof, they will get the best care. Lots of cuddles, exercise and treats (owner approved prior, of course!). My puppy likes to be the host, she welcomes dogs with open paws and will have a good chase/wrestle, if your dog likes that, or will respect their space and leave them alone if they want that instead. My older dog is more the grumpy old man (even though he's 7), he will ref the wrestles/chases and chill out with me.

I have a good understanding of dogs who suffer from separation anxiety. My own dog suffers from it when he's away from me. This is something that can be discussed as I understand it can be so hard to place your dog with the right person while you're away!

I am very flexible, and I am very honest. I insist on a meet and greet prior to ensure your dog is a good fit for all and that I am a good fit for you! I will not tolerate any dog aggression, food/water aggression or toy aggression. Equally your dog needs to be house trained (though I can forgive accidents as they do happen!) and, I'm sorry but no un-neutered pets. Your dog would very rarely be left unattended, I may sometimes need to nip to the store or something but that's mostly it!

Please note, if your dog has trouble with stairs, be aware we have a few steps up to our house and a few steps (quite steep) down to the garden.

Please feel free to message me with ANY questions at all. I am open to suggestions and will adjust to meet your requirements and your dog's needs.

Angelique is AWESOME!! She is so loving and caring and treated Wallace as if he was her own. We were absolutely thrilled with her and with the care she provided. Angelique sent frequent updates and pictures and gave us complete peace while we were away for 2 weeks. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, confident and totally capable care giver. What a bonus to have Wallace join her pack walks and enjoy the outdoors. He still misses his new friends. THANKS Angelique!
I am a nervous wreck when it comes to my pets which is why I would rather use dogvacay (friends offered but if anything happened I prefer someone who is not in my circle)...I chose Angelique because of her location and obvious lover for dogs. She always messaged me or sent me pictures and really gave her the exercise she needs- she even took her on a hike.. Gracie seemed to make herself at home at her house and I would not hesitate to use Angelique again...
Angelique is remarkable! She has helped my high strung shy puppy become friends with other dogs. She understands his needs and dog politics and developed a plan to quickly manage his worries. She has such gentle control of the dogs under her care and has helped me immensely.
Angelique has been so great with my sweet golden, Gingi. She takes really good care of my girl and clearly cares a lot about her. She has gone above and beyond what I expected from a dog walker. And Gingi definitely loves her! Thanks, Angelique!
Angelique was great with my very shy cockapoo. She was very patient, taking the time for the dog to get to know her and feel comfortable enough to go for a walk with her. Thanks!
Angelique was very prompt and caring for our dog. She provided an excellent experience and was in contact with us during our dog's vacay. I highly recommend Angelique and will book again in the near future.
Angelique is an excelent caregiver and pretty much the only person I trust to watch my pup! She treats him as if he was her own and you can tell that she really enjoys looking after him. Brin absolutely loves to spend time with Angelique and his best friends Bobbi and Wagg, wether it be in the back yard, in the park, on a hike, or at the lake. I would defintely recommend booking here, your pup will have the best time and you will not be disappointed!
Having our furry babies at Angelique's house was so easy and such a pleasure! She checked in with us by sending photos and texts with what the puppies were getting up to while staying with her and her pups. Super easy and efficient. I wasn't worried about the amount exercise and outside time they would get. She took them to the park, played in the yard, etc. Highly recommended, we are definitely booking with her again!
Angelique was a God-send. She accommodated our dog Riley at short notice after we had been let down elsewhere. She's very attentive and obviously loves dogs (she has 2 very friendly and lovely dogs herself), and she was happy to give our dog the medication he was on while we were away. There is a sizeable secure yard for the dogs to play in at the back but she also takes them on decent walks a few times a day. We'll definitely be sending Riley to her again in the future!
Angelique is amazing with dogs! (My pup also took quite a liking to John, which is unusual because he is cautious around men.) Angelique and John accepted my reservation request fairly last minute and they made the whole process so easy and comfortable. I'd been working with another great DogVacay couple for over a year, so they had some big shoes to fill...but I'm so glad I found them! They have 2 large, sweet dogs and take them hiking. Angelique also sent me plenty of updates and pics so I never worried about my pup. I definately recommend Angelique, especially if you have an active dog! Everyone will sleep well after being in her care :)
