About Jennifer

9 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Bring your dog to relax at the quiet and cozy Bungalow. Located in the heart of Dorchester, canine guests enjoy a private back yard, access to lovely parks nearby, and walks in one of Boston's most architecturally beautiful neighborhoods. As experienced dog owners, we'll make sure your dog will be taken care of so you can enjoy your time away worry-free.

Here's a little bit about me:

Originally from Indiana, I moved to Boston in 2002 and settled in Dorchester in 2009 with my husband Paul. I've worn many hats including that of lawyer, teacher and seamstress, but dogs have been a way of life for me since 2006 when we adopted a rescue, a Cocker Spaniel named Lucy.

After making some changes in my work life, I decided to walk dogs and board them at my home. A friend and I worked together walking dogs in the neighborhood and even took a pet CPR class. We did that until it seemed to interfere with Lucy's quality of life. A few months after Lucy passed we went through the same rescue and fostered another dog for a few months.

We are dog people. Our house just isn't a home without a dog because we enjoy the furry companionship and a beast to care for. We are flexible can work with your dog's needs to make sure its stay here is comfortable and enjoyable.

My two dogs had a wonderful time. After 8 nights, I returned to find happy dogs that were almost reluctant to leave Jennifer and Paul. I will definitely use them again!
This is my second time boarding Porter with Jen. He was immediately relaxed and 'at home' once we arrived.

She was helpful and flexible with last minute scheduling, pick up and drop off even when I had to push back the time a bit due to scheduling issues.

I will definitely be contacting Jen again for one of my upcoming trips.

I just returned from a two-week vacation and left my dog, Napleon with Jen and Paul. I was apprehensive to leave him for such a long time with anyone because he suffers from separation anxiety (he's a rescue). Not only did he do great with Jen and Paul, I do believe he misses them! They allowed him to move right in as if he was in his own home and treated him as part of their family. Jen sent me pictures frequently while I was away and I could tell Napoleon was happy with them. They are wonderful, extremely hospitable and kind as hosts. I highly recommend and trust Jen and Paul and will call upon them again in the near future. The best care anyone could ask for!

This was the second time our pup, Bear had stayed with Jen, and we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing that Bear was in Jen's caring, capable hands. We recently booked yet another stay with Jen.
Jen is extremely responsive, and she knows how to handle our dog Bear, despite Bear's anxiety. We have already booked another stay with Jen.
Do not hesitate for a second to leave your furry family member with Jennifer! We left our dog Zoey with her for the week of our wedding and it was the first time she spent a week away from us and the first time we were not able to leave her with a family member or close friend. Jennifer is not only an animal lover, but very knowledgable about dogs and caring for them. Zoey went on walks everyday, had fun in their fenced in backyard playing with her toys, and was snuggled on the couch at night. We got daily pictures and updates and Jennifer was very responsive when we asked how Zoey was. Our dog has separation anxiety, which gets in the way of her appetite, but this proved to be no issue for Jennifer, as she knew just what to do to make her feel comfortable and loved. Zoey returned to us from her dog vacation happy and healthy and we are two very pleased owners who now have another close friend to care for our dog, whom we trust and greatly appreciate.

Best doggie-sitters ever. Wally is always loved and happy. We get regular updates and pictures and can rest assured our baby is cared for.
Jen and Paul were the perfect hosts for our pup Wallace. They were so communicative and really warm and loving with our girl. She came back so happy and clean. Was even a little sad to miss her new friends and their great big yard! Will use them again for sure!
