About Amy

6 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I provide weekend overnight boarding services Thursday- Sunday and daycare Friday-Sunday.

About me: I work a 9-5 during the week and like to spend my weekends with my pup, Oliver, going to the park or hiking and generally exploring the city. I also volunteer with animal rescue organizations. I have experience with and am comfortable administering any medications your pup may need. Since I can really only have one dog, I figured this would be a great way to satisfy my urge to have a house full of pups!

About Oliver: Olie is a 7 year-old Boston Terrier that I rescued from a shelter in NJ about 6 years ago. He prefers to snuggle on the couch, but also loves nice long walks. He loves dogs his size and smaller, but not the larger ones, which is why our size limit is 40 lbs.

About my home: I have a spacious one-bedroom apartment in an elevator building directly across the street from Prospect Park and walk my own dog there every day. I can guarantee at least three walks outside with your doggy and constant supervision (and snuggles) when they are in my home. I keep my apartment very tidy and smoke-free. My apartment is two blocks from the F/G train at Ft Hamilton Prkwy. I also have a car and for an extra fee can pick-up and/or drop-off your pup (within certain distances). I have plenty of treats (all made in the USA and given sparingly), bowls, and toys, but your dog can bring any personal items to make their stay more comfortable.

I have a large crate if your dog is used to sleeping in one, but am ok with your doggy sleeping anywhere in my home (including in bed!). Since I do have my own dog, I may require proof of vaccinations for yours (DHPP, rabies, bordetella).

Meet and Greet: I prefer to do a meet and greet with new clients. We can either meet at the park, my apartment (so you can see where your pup will be staying), or another mutually agreeable location. I will consider a new client without a meet and greet following a phone conversation. In either case, please propose a meet and greet using the link in my profile.

A surcharge of $10/night will be added during major holiday weekends, which apply to the following dates: May 27-31, July 1-4, Sept 2-5, Nov 23-27, Dec 23-26, and Dec 30-Jan 1, 2017.

Amy's spacious apartment would be a great place for any small/medium dogs! She is just steps away from the park, which means lots of scenic walks and playtime in the park. She also has a relaxed pup, Oliver, who would make a great companion for your pup!

Amy is ready to welcome dogs into her home and will provide a great place for a your fur-baby's DogVacay!

Amy was AMAZING! We contacted her for last minute boarding and she was so accommodating, patient and helpful. We got periodic updates with photos during Bean's stay. We loved that and it helped put our minds at ease as Bean can be nervous in a new setting. In fact, the reason why we turned to DogVacay.com is because our dog was coming back from typical boarding facilities extremely upset and sick. After being with Amy, Bean came back happy AND tired (after all the outdoor walks he had). Thank you Amy!!!
