About Alyssa

3 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi there, my name is Alyssa. I'm work full-time at the State Crime Lab during the day but it is only 3 minutes away which is perfect for lunch time walks. Even though I am away for work during the week, there will be plenty of time for walking and playing after. I volunteer at the Wake County Animal Shelter as a dog walker/dog cuddles and am avid animal lover. I have grown up with many dogs and cats. I now own 1 dog (Roscoe) and 1 cat (Pilsner). I am welcome to any breed of dog/cat, with the exception of animals who show aggression. They must be cat friendly - my cat will just ignore them but does not want to be attacked. My animals are both completely up to date on vaccinations, fixed, and on flea preventative. I live in an apartment but go on plenty of walks throughout the night and weekend. Being that I have an apartment, please try to be potty-trained or pad trained. As I mentioned before, I am close to home so I can walk during lunch. If needed to board during work hours, crating would be necessary to avoid any possible conflict with my animals.

That being said, your animal will be loved and adored while you are away.. I know how difficult it is to leave them! Feel free to ask me anything you would like to know!

I have watched Alyssa Tinnin grow as an animal lover since she was a small child. She has a special love for all animals and both of her pets were rescue pets. Her cat, Pilsner, was found as a kitten with 3 of it's siblings and was raised since she was 2 weeks old by myself and then given to Alyssa once old enough to be on his own. We have one of her cats siblings and whenever she visits us she brings Pilsner back to see his brother. Her dog, Roscoe, was a stray that had been abandoned and she promptly took him in, got him the proper care, searched for an owner and then decided to claim him as her own when no one reported him lost or missing. She spends numerous hours walking him and taking him on adventures which he loves. She has spent a great deal of time in getting him trained through classes as well. Not only does she love and take care of her own pets, she volunteers locally to walk dogs twice a week. Both of her animals get along with each other and other animals. She would be a great/loving sitter for anyone's pet and I wouldn't hesitate to have her be a sitter for any of ours pets.

Alyssa is such a wonderful person and animal sitter! She's has kept my dog several times, and I can honestly say that she treated my baby just like she treats her own. Alyssa is very dependable, caring, and passionate about animals. When your dog or cat is with her, you will not have to worry! I guarantee that she will love and care for your pet just as well as you would, and maybe better! When she takes care of Rigsby, I don't worry at all. She even sends me pictures of her and Rigsby while I am away! I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone who wants quality care for their pets. She's one of a kind!
