I love animals, but mostly have experience with Dogs. I've always wanted one since I was little but due to my parents work schedule and such, I quite unfortunately never got the pleasure of having a furry companion in the house.
Luckily however, numerous family members of mine have cared for dogs and cats over the years. My aunt and uncle have took in over 30 stray dogs over the past 15 years and rehabilitated and care for them. Ultimately, they would get so attached and eventually ended up keeping them or they would find suitable homes.
I've had the pleasure of meeting these various dogs and cats of various breeds, shapes, sizes and experienced an array of behaviors. Although I'm no expert, I have learned a lot from them on how to care and identify certain types of behaviors. After getting a shared apartment with friends upon graduating college, I've dog-sat for various friends, breeds range from as small as Pomeranians, Australian Kelpies to Alaskan Malamutes.
I'm currently moved back in with my parents and they love pets as well! My stepfather had Dobermans back in the day but unfortunately have passed since. Our home is spacious (as spacious as a NYC apartment in Flushing can get) and will be a great temporary home for any pets!
