About Abby

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello! Thanks for taking a few seconds to get to know me! My name is Abby, I'm 23 years old and I live in Lynchburg, Virginia. I've been a primary care owner of two dogs for over 15 years, and recently had to move, leaving them behind at my parents house. I have watched friends and neighbors dogs all my life, and I LOVE getting to meet new animals. My apartment is very cozy, with both laminate floors and carpeting. There is plenty of room for movement including a fenced in balcony and an outdoor doggy area. My day is unusual because I work in television. I work from 3:00pm to 7:30pm and 9:30pm to 12:30pm. My hours allow me to go home in between shifts, primarily at the best feeding hours for both myself and animals. I get up around 9 and go for a 30 minute walk. I am home all morning then, and have plenty of time for playing and interacting. I offer fantastic service for pets with anxiety or medical needs. I'm a loving dog sitter and treat any pet like its my own!

Abby is wonderful with dogs! She treats them with respect and love. She is a very caring person as well. She is very respectful toward the dog owners as well. Abby is full of energy and can definitely keep up with any breed of dog! She loves playing with dogs and running them around, but she also loves relaxing with them. I have a dog at my parents house and whenever Abby is over, she immediately takes my dog outside and says hi to her and plays with her too! She is awesome with dogs and anyone would be lucky to have her watch their dog!

Abby has had pets (dogs) her entire life. She is warm, caring, responsible and loves animals. Since moving away from home, she often mentions how she misses her dogs. She is very capable and we have left our pets in her hands while my husband and I have gone on vacation. Several of our neighbors have used Abby as a "pet-sitter" when they were away. We had a dog that required ACL surgery and Abby was around to help with the additional care needed as well as to handle the physical therapy that was required. I would not hesitate in the least in recommending Abby as a dog sitter. Her love for animals will come across to both you and your pet and you will be able to rest assured that while you are away, your pet is being cared for in the best possible way.

Abby was very professional and bonded with my dogs immediately when she came to my house. I was pleased afterwards to hear about how well my dogs played. It was a relief for me to be able to take care of family business and know that Abby was taking good care of my dogs and they were not trapped in their crates all day. I will be asking her to help with my dogs again in the future.

Abby took excellent care of my little sister's large pup while she was up visiting for Christmas. He is a very friendly, but big and bumbling boy who would not have done well in my home with my small children and my protective, territorial shih tzu. She was very accommodating to Hugo's specific needs and highly professional- she communicated with us frequently and always returned messages promptly. She clearly has a kind heart with a big soft spot for pups. We'll definitely go to her again the next time we are in need of a "Hugo hotel!"

Terminated the visit early for no reason, after sending positive photos and feedback. Would not recommend.
Our dog has separation anxiety. He has come back from stays at the vet traumatized, so much so that he won't eat the entire time he is there. Not with Abby, he came back happy and healthy. She even got him to eat!! We loved the daily picture update!!! We will definitely leave our dog with her from now on when we go out of town!!!!
