I've always had a love for dogs since I was a kid. Due to rental restrictions, I never had one growing up. Because of this, I decided to offer walking services/pet care to my friends. Since then I've continued to surround myself with dogs.
My husband and I moved to Seattle for three years and there I worked as a professional dog sitter for Fetch! In addition, I worked as a chaperone to many different types of breeds and personalities at a Seattle dog daycare.
My husband and I relocated back to Albuquerque about six months ago for family reasons. We decided to add another family member to our home, so five months ago we had the pleasure of adopting our new pup - Boston! She is a wonderful sweet gentle and fun mutt! She is about 2 and we couldn't have asked for a better companion. We are working with a fantastic dog trainer and we owe a lot to him!
We both work from home so taking care of your dog will not be an issue. We make sure to take Boston out plenty of times during the day, and when it's hot we only take her out for a little bit and make sure she is in the shade and has plenty of water. We also love taking her to the dog park because we know that's one of her favorite things to do! In addition, we try to take her with us everywhere that allows dogs.
We can only have one dog due to the size of our living quarters, but in the future we plan to adopt another. For now, we thought it would be nice to make some extra income while being around our most favorite animal. We know it can be tough to find trustworthy reliable and loving people out there to watch your dogs, so we wanted to put our services out there and gaurentee your dog will be cared for! I am considered a bit of an overprotective dog mama!
We offer overnight services (as we will be home) if one of us happens to leave to go to the store or run an errand, the other will stay with your loved one.
However, if we have an event (Birthday, dinner, etc) we need to attend, we would be happy to crate your pup until we return home. Usually when we go somewhere on special occasions it's usually under 4 hours. As soon as we return home we will be happy to take your pup out along with ours for a long walk :)
We will make sure to keep your dog safe, loved, happy, and full of treats! (only if allowed by you of course)
All we ask is that your pup is house trained, goes to the bathroom outside only (can't have any mistakes inside) and is easy to go on walks with (trained to be on a leash). If some of these are iffy, we can talk and compromise :).
We're looking forward to taking care of your pet while you're away, if it's for a vacation or just for a day!
