About Dianna

18 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Please let me know:

where you're located
what dates you'll need care
what time(s) you will need care
Whether or not your pet requires 24/7 supervision

This will help me quickly assess whether or not I can accommodate you without wasting your time.

Sending this information with your initial inquiry will expedite the process and provide you with answers much more efficiently. The more informative your initial message is, the quicker and easier the process will be for both of us, thank you for being thorough!

PLEASE NOTE: Honey accompanies me on my stays, so dog friendly dogs will have a playmate! She is well trained and housebroken, as she is a Service Dog In Training.

Please let me know if this will be an issue in advance. She is dog friendly, but will ignore other dogs that are uninterested in interacting with her.

My care is primarily focused on:

- dogs that are more comfortable in their own homes
- dogs that elderly
- dogs that are uncomfortable with other dogs
- cats
- small animals/exotics.

About My Services

This is determined on a case by case basis, depending on client needs!
(My rate varies by service.)

Services offered:

Check-ins/visits ($25 each)
feedings ($25 each)
dog walks ($25 each*)
litter changes ($25 each**)
bird/small animal cages ($25 each**)
overnights ($50*/night - in your home)
. . . and more!

*extra charges MAY apply for multiple pets

**$25 for one, extra charges may apply for multiple boxes/cages

Everything is personalized to suit my client's preferences for long-term, reliable assistance in keeping you happy, and your pet excited about our visits.

Unless otherwise requested, dogs are walked for 20 minute stretches at a time**. As each animal has their own unique needs, dogs are walked as many times a day as owners request during stays. Please look over services and rates for more information.

** Additional charges MAY apply for extra (or longer) walks! This is determined on a case by case basis, please ask if you have any concerns about your dog's schedule!

Every dog has preferences and traits to consider while sitting, and I have many unique experiences. Most of my clients are dogs that can not be kenneled, as they are too old, too young, not socialized for play with other dogs, etc.

If your dog has special care requirements, I have years of experience working with many of them!

I will stay overnight with your pet
IN YOUR HOME.

**I do not offer boarding at this time**
This means that I do NOT take animals into MY HOME.

Small animals I may be able to take, on a case by case basis.

Availability for requests is *always* determined based on client needs.

I will also:

- visit
- socialize
- walk
- train tricks
- and clean up after your pet.

My care is not restricted by age, size or breed of your dog. I care for all kinds and sizes of animals

please do not hesitate to contact me in regards to:

dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, fish, amphibians, birds or other exotics.

I know first-hand, how hard it can be to find a caretaker that works with animals other than dogs! Never be afraid to ask!

I provide care at the following locations. Although I may be able to accommodate clients outside of those listed - please inquire if you're uncertain.

Allston
Boston
Brighton
Brookline
Cambridge
Dedham
Hyde Park
Jamaica Plain
Needham
Newton
Norwood
Readville
Somerville
Walpole
Wellesley
West Roxbury
Westwood
and surrounding areas. . .

If you'd like to discuss a booking please do so through the site. Due to the policies of DogVacay.com I am unable to make arrangements over the phone prior to planning a meet and greet. For this reason I will not call without first determining whether or not we're planning a meet and greet. Thank you for understanding!

The exception to this is if the inquiry is incredibly last minute, as in the case of an emergency - and a meet and greet is required within the next 24 hours.

About Me

I have been caring for a wide variety of pets since childhood. Family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me for everything from cats and dogs, to birds, fish, rodents and reptiles. I have personally owned all of the above and spent years dedicated to studying and hands on learning of proper care for each.

I do not believe in offering the bare minimum of duties, your family deserves the same dedication they are given from you even while you're away.

My care is personalized to suit my client's preferences for long-term, reliable assistance in keeping you happy, and your pet excited about our visits.

As an experienced pet owner, I've had cats all of my life, dogs nearly as long and for years throughout my life I've also been the proud parent/owner of reptiles, amphibians, fish, rodents, birds and more.

I have worked, caring for small mammals and birds at my local Petco as well as taken care of the pets for friends and neighbors since childhood.

Since the 90's I have had dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors, breeds and sizes, from a Maltese and fox terrier to German shepherds and huskies. I previously had a (twelve-year-old) Sheltie, and currently have an Australian Cattle Dog! Let me know the proper specifications to care for your dog, and they will be treated just like they would in your care.

Note: Orion has passed away.

UPDATE: Honey accompanies me on my stays, so dog friendly dogs will have a playmate! She is well trained and housebroken, as she is a Service Dog Prospect.

Please let me know if this will be an issue in advance. She is dog friendly, but will ignore other dogs that are uninterested in interacting with her.

---------------------

Unfortunately, due to the way the site operates, I am unable to mark myself unavailable for overnights when I am still available for walks or visits.

Please understand that I may have myself listed available for services even if I'm booked during that period for the night. I may also be marked unavailable, despite being able to accommodate walking or visitation requests.

If you are looking for check-ins on nights that I'm already booked overnight please let me know where you're located and what time(s) you will need care on those dates in order for me to quickly assess whether or not I can accommodate you without wasting your time in finding an appropriate sitter.

As far as I know, Dianna takes great care of my dog and cat. She sends pictures and updates when requested, and my dog always seems relaxed when I get home. I'll be booking with her again in the future!
Dianna did great and got along with our puppy. She did a meet-n-greet beforehand and provided references - great all around.
Dianna is terrific. We have used her several times and always are thrilled when she is available. She is conscientious about our house when she stays and Blaisey loves having her come to care for her. Dianna is the best!!!
