Pet care experience
I am a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and I have attained my bachelor's in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary School concentration. With my degree, I was able to get experience with a variety of animals, including cows, horses, pigs, goats, and chickens. I am excited to pursue my goal in attending veterinary school, as my passion for animals has continued to grow. I have always owned animals, and am happy to have found a job that enables me to meet new pets! I currently work as a veterinary technician at an animal hospital. I work with a variety of different dogs and cats and am comfortable with caring for them. I currently have a dog named Goldie. I have a spacious home that welcomes any pup you send my way! Ever since I can remember, I knew I wanted to work with animals in my future. As a recent pre-vet graduate, my passion for animals has increased tremendously. I currently have a 12 year old cocka-poo named Goldie. We have a great bond! I have interned at Village West Veterinary and PAWS Chicago, and would love to continue having experiences with dogs! Meet my pets I have an 12 year old Cocka-poo named Goldie that loves to meet other dogs. I've also owned fish, hamsters, a python, and birds. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have worked with a variety of animals and have acquired much experience with them. About my yard I currently have a spacious backyard that is fenced entirely. The fence is both wooden and roughly 6 feet tall. We have a lawn table, some chairs, and a lot of grass that dogs can run around in. My experience administering medication I work as a veterinary technician and am comfortable administering medications if needed.

Thank you Vanessa for watching Nellie! It was the first time Nellie was away from home and I was nervous, but not for long after meeting you and Goldie! I appreciate the daily updates and pictures! She had so much fun, Matt said she slept all day, so you sure must have ran her a lot!!! We will definitely use you again to sit! I appreciate all your help!
This was my first time separating from my dog and I was very nervous to leave her until I met Vanessa! She was so great with my dog Gracie and continuously sent me updates, pictures, and videos. I knew Gracie was in good hands and I knew she was being treated the same way I would! I would recommend Vanessa to my family and friends, and know I can feel comfortable leaving my baby with her!
We can't wait to stay with Vanessa again! This was the first time I've left my boys alone and from the moment we met I knew everything would be great. She sent daily updates/pictures and took care of my dogs just as I would, even hand feeding my picky eater and wrapping medicine in cheese for Bam (I'm having a hard time getting him to take his medicine but she gave it to him with no problem)! Louie and Bam had a great time going on walks, playing with the family dog Goldie, and hanging out with Vanessa's dad! Actually, by the end of the stay I felt guilty taking the dogs home! I can't say enough good things about Vanessa and their stay with her, the boys and I highly recommend her!
Vanessa provided a loving, care-free environment for our two dogs. She cared for them as she does her own dog, Goldie. When we picked them up last night, they were content and playful. I highly recommend Vanessa as a trustworthy dog sitter. I have a feeling our dogs are going to miss her and their daily walks!

I am an extremely laid back person. I allow my dog on the couch, so I would like to know if you did the same. I will respect the rules you have for your dog as well as any specific routines you have set for them. If there's any medication required or allergies of any sort, please notify me with instruction. In addition, I would like to know if your dog gets along with others. Also, it is important that your dog is potty trained. I do not have any breed preferences. I love all breeds!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks There's a park called Shabbona Park across the street from my house. It is roughly 3 blocks long and is filled beautiful green grass and trees. My dog enjoys running around the open fields of Shabonna Park and meeting new friends! Your dog's sleeping arrangement I have a medium sized kennel, as well as two medium sized dog beds. My room takes up the entire second floor, so the dogs will sleep in my bedroom. Note: please provide a kennel if they regularly sleep in one. Time I'll spend with your dog My days are extremely flexible. I work part time at an animal hospital. When I am not home, there is someone taking care of your pet. I walk my dog 4-5 times a day, and will do the same with yours. Extra house-sitting services While you're away, I am willing to help with other tasks you need!
