Spacious Home/Yard + Hikes

Pet care experience

Search for "Pupperie" on Instagram to see pictures and videos of what my dog boarding/daycare looks like! Daily video compilations are posted every weekday. I offer one-of-a-kind dog boarding and daycare with my partner, Aimee, in a joyful and spacious family home environment. I've worked with dogs in a professional capacity since 2015. Our bright, 2700 sq ft house has fully secured front and back yards with a garden, comfortable furniture for lounging, music twinkling, and laps for snuggling. We take dogs for off-leash hikes most days, set up a splash pad or take the pups for hike/swims in the summer, and have spacious areas for playtime.

Christine and her partner were fantastic, willing to host my dog for daycare on relatively short notice and went above and beyond in taking care of my 5 month old puppy. They communicated throughout the day with texts, videos, and photos and gave a detailed update about the day at pick up every evening. 10/10 would recommend!

Zeke had a great time at Christine's. Super friendly and communicative, great care for the pups. I know Zeke was happy here and will be excited to be back for his next booking!

Safety, trust & environment

We believe that a professional approach shouldn't come at the cost of a fun-loving and stimulating environment, which is why we take the time to get to know all of our dog friends very well. This allows us the freedom to give dogs affection, take them for off-leash hikes, bring out toys and treats, and tailor our days around each pup’s needs—things that are typically not possible and sometimes downright dangerous in large-scale boarding and daycare settings. We believe in positive reinforcement and building confidence. A happy dog is a secure, loved, mentally stimulated, and tired dog. Our house has distinct areas—and there are two of us home full-time—so we can easily pull a tired dog or overly-excited "sheriff" aside for some one-on-one time. All our pups are verified to be current on vaccines. We have our own insurance policy, AirTags for hikes, and a process that allows us to take most of our dogs off leash in their first 1-2 hikes. For our dachshund friends or those who shouldn't climb stairs, we've built ramps in the house and going to the backyard. We send text/photo/video updates throughout the day and are typically very responsive to texts.

DAYCARE: We have an opening for a dog to join us for daycare 2-5 days per week. Most of our daycare pups are under 3 years old, 10-25 lbs., medium energy, and have no aggression around toys, treats, or space. We thoughtfully accept dogs who we believe will have a great time in our home and contribute to maintaining a safe, happy, and playful environment. Our complimentary meet-and-greets are required prior to booking any service. They last 45-60 minutes and give us a chance to show you our home and yard, discuss your dog’s care and quirks, and get to know their personality. At the end of the meet-and-greet, you should feel informed and confident about the experience your dog will have with us. To prioritize the safety and health of all of our dogs, we require proof of vaccinations (including Bordetella) before a meet and greet and ask that dogs be up-to-date on flea/tick medication. All dogs over one year must be fully potty-trained and well-socialized, with no history of aggression towards other dogs or people. Males over seven months must be neutered. We LOVE puppies and ours is an ideal environment for socializing them: puppies do a good job of tiring each other out, but well-behaved adult dogs who we know very well are invaluable when it comes to teaching boundaries. Puppies who aren't yet fully potty-trained may join us if they use pee pads.

A typical day

All our guests enjoy almost 24/7 supervision (daycare pups are never left alone), off-leash hikes, poking around with us in the garden, socializing in the house and backyard, and lots of attention and snuggles. We send photo and video updates throughout the day, and 90-second video compilations at the end of the day Monday-through-Friday—these are posted daily on my Instagram account. We have a loosely structured routine, punctuated with playtime, backyard lounging, and often hikes, which reinforce good recall skills :) We typically have low-value bones and toys out and feed dogs their own food in the same area, while we supervise. (This is especially valuable for puppies and teaches them—and reinforces in older dogs—impulse control and avoids the development of food guarding.) Dogs are welcome to sleep in our bed, in their bed, in their dog friend's bed, or on any couch or chair.

Doggie daycare/boarding is my full-time job. The daycare operates from 7am-7pm Monday through Friday, and dogs come for up to 10 hours during that window (weekends, longer days and early arrivals/late pickups can be arranged). I typically spend the morning facilitating playtime, feeding the pups who arrive needing breakfast, and sitting in the backyard in a swing with a puppy in my lap as everyone lounges and plays. Weather permitting, we usually aim for an off leash hike around mid-day, feed the puppies lunch, and everyone naturally settles in for a nap. Late afternoon consists of more playtime and dinner for those who are picked up late. There are lots of cuddles, smooches, and scratches throughout the day :)
