I am 46 years old and have owned dogs my entire life, My husband, son, and I are deeply passionate about dog rescue and two of our three fur babies are rescues. We have been involved in the dog rescue world for about five years now. Presently, we do volunteer fostering with a local rescue, We live a pretty quiet life so we devote most of our time to our dogs and the dogs we foster, When we lived in Texas, we enjoyed taking our dogs to the lake on the weekends. Though we haven't found a good swimming hole here in South Carolina for them yet, we do enjoy getting them outside for some exercise.
We are happily owned by three dogs of our own, a Shih Tzu named Harley, a Yorkie named Brady, and a Bully named Bella, Please don't let the Bully breed scare you off, She is the biggest sweetheart you could ever meet and has never met a dog she didn't want to be best buds with.
Our dogs live a pretty pampered life, They are free to roam the house and sleep wherever they want, which is usually in bed with us. They have their own privacy fenced area of the yard to burn some energy or take care of business. They are crated only when we need to be out of the house. They are all up-to-date on their shots and we would expect that any pup we sit for would also be current on vaccines,
We love to sit for any and all breeds of dog, but do ask them any dog who stays with us be social and accepting of other dogs just like ours are! We do understand that at times, even the friendliest dogs just won't get along for whatever reason. We are fully equipped with baby gates, and plenty of rooms in the event that dogs need to be kept separated. For the sake of our pets' safety and your pet's safety, we can not take dogs known to be aggressive.
All dogs in our home are kept inside with air conditioning in warm weather and are taken out only to do their business and some brief play time. In nicer, more comfortable weather, our guests are brought outside a couple times a day for a couple hours at a time to burn energy. Nicer weather also means nice leisurely walks around the neighborhood
