About Hillary

25 Years Experience Caring For Dogs

Thanks so much for taking the time to learn about me. My name is Hillary, I am 42 and am a professional pet sitter, certified in Pet First Aid and CPR by Pet Tech. I've volunteered at two local pet shelters, which I love doing! In all, I have over twelve years of pet sitting experience. I take the utmost pride in my experience, attention to detail and professionalism. Should you want to see my reviews, please go to: www.facebook.com/pawspluspetsitters

Of course, I am an animal lover of all kinds. I've provided care for all types of animals, including horses, Guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, fish, a sugar glider and even an African Sulcan Tortoise! I'm familiar with most breeds of dogs and their specific needs and dispositions.

I currently have a seven pound nine year old Pomeranian, Callie. She's the sweetest, cutest, most lovable dog in the world! (Although I might be a bit biased ;-) She's always very friendly & welcoming to our guests and gets along with them famously!

I have lived in St. George since 1992 and absolutely love it here! I came to get my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and loved it here so much I decided to call St. George home.

While I was married, we had four dogs of our own and fostered two additional dogs and I loved every minute of it ;-) I enjoyed it so much that I started my own pet sitting business here in Southern Utah, Paws Plus Pet Sitters. Not only do I provide care in my home, but I also travel to client's homes to care for their pets and homes, usually two or three times per day, and sometimes stay in their homes for extended periods of time.

I've been a professional pet sitter here in St. George for the last three years now. It's my full-time job and I love it! You can be rest assured that if you choose me to care for your pets, they'll be safe, cared for and loved just as they are in your home.

While I don't have children of my own, my pets are my furbabies and I will love, care for and protect your pets as if they were my own.

I have a very flexible schedule and am willing to work with you with short notice. I understand things come up and also have a flexible cancellation policy.

While your pet is in my care, I'll send pictures and/or videos to offer peace of mind in your absence. Keeping their schedules close to what they're accustomed to is vital to minimizing stress. Whether they're in my home or yours, I'll make it a point to ensure this happens.

I look forward to the possibility of caring for your pet(s) and hope to hear from you soon.

All my best,
Hillary :~}

Why I love pet sitting:

I've been an animal lover since I was a child. My family always had at least one dog and a cat. As an adult, I grew my pack to five furry kids and loved every moment of caring for, loving, and playing with them.

I've been petsitting professionally for years, and now it's my full time job. I own my own petsitting business and absolutely love it! It's my passion and I'm very fortunate to be able to do it.

I'm experienced in administering medication, both oral and injections.

Please feel free to ask any questions. I try my best to respond within an hour of getting a request.

Thanks again for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you and your pets and taking care of them in the near future!

Warmest regards,
Hillary :~}

I chose Hillary to tend my pets because she is a true pet lover. She is very good with my elderly cats and is able to give them medications when needed. She also takes care of my dog at her place and he seems to truly love going there. I've always found her to be dependable and and trust her explicitly with my precious furry babies.

NOT capable of large dog sitting!

This is a small apartment with no off-leash area and she unable to exercise large dogs even if a simple game is provided to do so.

She claimed ability to care for my dog (pictures and accurate descriptions were provided up front prior to the agreement) who is a large, loving, obedient people pleaser but requires exercise daily. I came in from out of town before going on a hiking trip and offered to come in earlier for a meet and greet, which she said was not necessary. However, as soon as she laid eyes on him (80 lbs) she immediately asked if I had immunizations handy to board him elsewhere. She seemed to be afraid to take a large dog, and vacillated for almost an hour between assuring me she was capable and I had nothing to worry about, and voicing concerns of why she couldn't handle him. I was late leaving for my trip and almost reboarded him anyway, but she finally insisted she was able to care of him. She texted me frequently while anxious and unable to take care of him appropriately throughout the trip due to inability to exercise him.

After I picked him up, he reeked of some cover spray (he and his equipment were previously very clean and his crate and bed were new). I scrubbed and scrubbed and whatever she sprayed did not wash out..my dog and I both hate the smell and even worse is that I don't know what she was attempting to cover.
Fantastic host!
