I'm a Dog Mom of 3 and also a Children's Author, so I make my own hours and work from home. Your pup will have 24 hour supervision. My schedule allows me to easily take my boys and little girl for walks, to the local parks, and to their Vet (who is only 5 minutes from home). My husband, Dan, is home 3 days a week so he's able to spend lots of fun time with us too. We live in a safe, secure Townhouse complex and there is lots of open, grassy space for your dog to enjoy fun, safe on-leash walks and/or play (fetch, frisbee and the like). There are also lots of paved paths should your pup prefer a more structured walk. There are other dogs and plenty of kids in our neighborhood so if your guy or gal likes to be social, I know the areas to go. Should he/she prefer a quieter time, I know those areas as well. No worries.
My oldest, Tenny, acts like a puppy; he loves to play and is great at fetch and tricks when he's not napping. He is completely deaf and almost blind, but still gets around great for a guy of 14! Geddy is more of a mellow, cuddly, quiet guy. But don't let that fool you; he'll join Tenny in chasing toys-if I take out the right ones. We just adopted our little girl, Breezy (she's 2) and she's a sweetheart. We're getting to know her, her personality, and are having so much fun teaching her the ropes. Tenny and Geddy are taking their roles as Big Brothers very seriously and love their new Little Sis already!
We are very affectionate and express our love towards our boys and Guests through verbal praise, hugs, petting, kisses and healthy treats. Our guys get veggies, peanut butter, bananas, pumpkin, coconut oil, and yummy grain and egg-free peanut butter, pumpkin cookies that I make from scratch (they are a hit with all of my Guests!). Vanilla yogurt and peanut butter frozen cubes and frozen peanut butter Kong's are favorite summertime treats that your pup can anticipate. Should your guy/gal have a special diet or prefer their own snacks/treats from home, they will only get those, rest assured! We choose to take only up to 2 dogs (from the same family) in our home at a time to assure that they will receive the most personal care and attention possible. I am a Certified Dog Behaviorist/Trainer and recently earned my Certifications in Dog Psychology and Pet First Aid and CPR. I have lots of experience in dealing with separation anxiety with positive results. I will do anything in my power so that your precious baby feel comfortable so that they eat, potty and sleep. I also provide Doggy Day Care if you'd like your boy or girl to spend an afternoon, do a practice run before YOUR vacay, or just hang out for a few hours with us having all kinds of fun!
I would preferably board and provide daycare to the smaller size dogs up to 30 pounds. Your dog can expect to enjoy as many short walks a day as he/she so desires. In addition to affection, healthy snacks, playtime is huge in this house-ropy and fetch, just to name Tenny's favorites! Should your little guy/girl be more on the mellow, quiet, or shy side, rest assured that he/she will be treated with extra extra special attention; and there is ample room for him/her to have private time with me.
