About Hernan

3 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello my name is Hernan, and I am an Army Veteran! (173rd Sky Soldier) I love dogs I grew up with them. Growing up I had a variety of pets ranging from birds and rabbits to even squirrels. I have over 10 years of experience handling a variety of animals most of which are dogs. Just recently I helped raise a phenomenal Doberman Pinscher His name was Titan, which unfortunately has left a void in my home. Currently I work as a network technician here in RTP and was looking for a way to not only to fill the void not having a pet but to earn some income on the side and help out others, since I know what it is like to struggle to find a reasonable sitter. Feel free to message me anytime ! my door is always open!

I also offer training and obediance instruction, i am able to do dedicate time for you and your pet. It is a passion of mine i love seeing well behaved dogs.

Hernan is incredible! He is extremely kind and clearly has love of dogs. He went out of his way to communicate updates to me and my dog was content and very well cared for all weekend. Thanks!!
Hernon was so wonderful!! I feel that he and his mother went above and beyond to make our Mila and us feel comfortable. This was our first time leaving her since she was rescued, so we were pretty anxious about how she would adjust for the week we planned to be gone. However, we felt we could visit our family at ease, knowing she was being well cared for by Hernon,
Hernon allowed us to do a meet and greet and day trial the week before our big trip. When we dropped her off the day that we left for our trip, she was so excited to see Hernon and his mom again. She also appeared very comfortable with them and his home.
Besides his kindness & affection towards Mila, Hernon was very diligent in assuring that Mila's needs were met. Right before our trip Mila got an eye infection that required daily administering of putting ointment into her eye...not an easy task to do with a 65 lb Rottweiler :) But Hernon got it done & Mila came back with her eye infection completely clear!
Hernon was also so kind to send us updates with pictures, and video throughout the week of how Mila was doing!!

I would highly recommend anyone to Hernon to care for their dog(baby), and I hope to continue use Hernon for upcoming trips!!

We can't thank Hernon enough for making that trip easier on us!!

Hernan is wonderful! We unexpectedly had to board our dog Riley for Thanksgiving and kennels were either full or way too expensive, so I was excited when I found DogVacay. I looked through lots of profiles, and I liked Hernan’s because he seemed genuinely interested in giving dogs TLC and companionship, not just a place to sleep and eat.

Riley is very smart and sweet once she knows you, but she’s not very friendly upon first meeting people, so I was worried about leaving her with a stranger. But from the first moment we met Hernan, he knew exactly how to approach her and make friends with her. Our initial “meet and greet” with him went really well, and when we dropped her off a few days later, she was happy to see him.

We were gone for six days, and while we were gone Hernan sent me e-mail updates and photos, and he said he was loving having Riley there. When we picked her up she was excited to see us, Hernan was sad to see her leave, and we were happy that we’d found someone who welcomed Riley into his home and treated her like family while we were away. THANK YOU, HERNAN! You were a blessing to us and to Riley, and we appreciate you!!
