About Donna

I have a dachshund that loves to play with other small dogs (preferably under 20lbs). We will go for walks along the canal, get plenty of treats. I have a cat that likes to hang out with dogs as well (although I do ask that your dog be friendly to cats as well). She is the boss of the house so we need to make sure your dog is cat friendly. We are very discreet who stays with us because we only take one dog at a time. This is because I have a very shy dog. I have been in the animal field for many years with rescue, grooming and pet sitting. I specialize in shy dogs as my dog came from a puppy mill and is shy.

I also offer free monthly workshops by conference call for dogs that have come from puppymill or hoarding facilities and need that extra help.

Also ask about our discount for these special needs dogs (from puppy mills and hoarders)

** Please note, drop off is after 12 noon on the first day of a visit and pick up is before 12 noon on the last day of a stay with us. Day care fees will be added at the rate of $20 for any extended times outside of the designated drop off and pick up times for each dog staying with us.

For the last couple of weeks my puppy has stayed with Donna while I have been at work. Donna is wonderful!
Donna went over and above to take care of my little guy. Jack came from a hoarding situation and has characteristic reactive behaviors and Donna understands him perfectly. She also worked some techniques with him and he seems more open and comfortable in the world just from his short stay with her. I was hoping for status quo and not going backward for him, instead, he progressed! Could not be happier or say enough good things about the experience. Thank you, Donna! We will be back when the need arises.

Donna and her husband were great with my dog, Louis. They understood he needs and temperament. Louis was returned to me exhausted, which is always a good sign he had a lot of fun! Donna sent me updates daily which was very reassuring while I was away. Louis will be returning to Donna and her family soon!

Our toy poodle who is a rescue dog from a puppy mill stayed with Donna for 2 nights and we could not have been more happy with our experience. Donna was very sensitive to our dog's needs and even had great recommendations for the next stay. It was our first time, and last minute booking with Donna, and we feel it was a great match. We definitely recommend Donna and we feel very blessed to have found such a caring host.

Donna was a wonderful host to our dog! She took him on long walks, cuddled him, and sent regular reports, replete with photos, to reassure me that he was doing wonderfully. We will DEFINITELY be leaving him with Donna again!
Donna was great. This was Zoe's first time being on her own and Donna made sure all her needs were met. She sent a picture and took her for a long walk. She was patient with Zoe as she was getting adjusted to her home away from home. Thanks Donna!
Donna was great! Missy have a wonderful time and was very well cared for. Donna kept us updated with texts and pictures, and was very responsive to our inquires. We will definitely be relying on her in the future to care for our dog while we're away.
