About: I love dogs! I also enjoy hiking around Tahoe. I am in the process of training my own adventure doggo, but I would love to take your fur friend on all of the adventures with us! I usually spend my days wandering in the woods and playing at the lake. My ideal day may include a morning walk, breakfast, mid morning hike of up to 8 miles ish, late lunch/dinner, evening walk or lake sunsets, porch relaxing, reading/Netflix at bedtime with dog cuddles. I can offer as much or as little activity as needed, feeding times flexible, house rules flexible (furniture/no furniture, crate/free reign) depending on your home routines. I would also be more than happy to take care of your doggo when you’re out of town. My doggo is my family, and I would be more than happy to offer my love and my home to yours while you’re away. I work as and emergency room nurse during the weekends, but I have four days off each week. Thanks for looking!

About: ••• Pet care experience ••• Ever since I was a child, I have been immersed in the world of pet care. From an early age, I grew up surrounded by a wide range of animals, including dogs, hamsters, and birds, as beloved members of my family. This lifelong exposure has given me a deep understanding of the unique needs and quirks of different pets. With my 1.5-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Louie, who I've had since he was 8 weeks old, I've honed my pet care skills. Raising him has provided firsthand experience in daily responsibilities like feeding, walking, grooming, and fostering companionship. What sets me apart further is my genuine love and passion for animals. I approach every pet with warmth, patience, and a genuine desire to make their experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I take pride in my ability to provide exceptional pet care, and I look forward to creating a wonderful experience for your furry friend. ••• My Schedule in Mammoth ••• Weekdays: Working from home in Mammoth gives me the flexibility to provide your dog with continuous care and attention. From day to night, I'll ensure your furry friend enjoys walks, playtime, and cozy cuddles. Weekends: Your dog will join the excitement as we embark on adventures in Mammoth. From exploring nature trails to visiting local parks, your pup becomes a part of the weekend fun. If a relaxed weekend is preferred, they can enjoy the comfort of my home, accompanied by my dog, Louie. ••• Safety ••• Ensuring safety, building trust, and creating a secure environment are my top priorities when caring for pets in your home. I approach each assignment with a meticulous focus on your pet's well-being. From understanding specific dietary needs to maintaining a familiar and comfortable atmosphere, I strive to create a trustworthy and secure space for your beloved furry companions. Your pet's safety and happiness are at the forefront of my services, providing you with peace of mind while you're away.

“Malea has a lifetime of handling dogs. Her family and her have been rescuing pound puppies and finding them new homes for over 20 years. She is so kind with all animals, but knows when a stern voice is needed. Malea was most recently a second handler for an avalanche rescue dog, Tinker. I trust her whole heartedly with my baby, I promise you can too.”
19. Katie K.
“Katie has watched, walked and checked-in on my dog many times. She lives near me and is a very kind loving animal person (so I try and select her when I can). I trust her to take my pup on all sorts of adventures, and they do!.”

He always took them on fun adventures whether it was camping, bike rides, or hiking ect. they were right there by his side. Two of my three dogs were the off spring of one his dogs and is one of the only people I trust to care for them if I need a sitter.”
