  Absolutely FABULOUS! I could not ask for better hosts. Russell and Ann treat my dog like their own. She has severe separation anxiety issues but feels totally comfortable in their loving home environment. She's also an escape artist so a big yard with a high 6' fence also adds to my relief knowing that she is well cared for and safe while I travel! Yay!!!

  Incredible! I could not be happier with Russell and Ann! To leave town and know that my furbaby is not only getting her basic needs met but is getting love, tickles and lots of ear scratches warms my heart! They adore dogs! And, I get my 'daily fix' with pics, videos and texts so I know that she is happy and it helps me miss her a little less ... Thank-you Russ!

  We're so thrilled with the care Russ gave our dogs. He was attentive, caring and made sure they were all comfortable and happy. We got pictures and updates and felt secure that they were being cared for as well as - if not better - than at home!!

  Russ and Anne were incredible with Kali. The amount of attention she got each day and evening was so amazing. She seemed to feel very much at home...just had a blast. She really enjoyed the short time that other dogs were there as well. I think it is so important that this host takes the time to check with you about how your dog will get along with other dogs, what their eating habits are like. I could tell by the hosts questions and comments that he was very much engaged with my dog and her needs. I will definitely use Russ P again!!!

  Second time Chloe was with Russel. Felt very comfortable leaving Chloe. We got daily pics and updates. She always looked very happy and busy. I think she was sad to leave all the activity and attention. Thanks again for keeping her.

  Russell did an incredible job taking care of our dogs. One is almost 12 years old and he spent the weekend on the couch next to Russell. He was a very happy pup. The other is less than a year and while he is pretty easygoing at home he was a bit of a handful at someone else's house. Russell went above and beyond to take excellent care of our younger dog. It was great being able to send my dogs to a home where both were very happy and well cared for.

  Russ and Anne are great people and really took great care of our dog! They have a nice clean home with a big back yard in which my dog had a great time running around in. You can tell they really love dogs and care for your pet. Thank you both see you at the next visit!

  For the last 7 years i have been leaving Toby to many day care places but I would say out of all Russel is the best host. He is very flexible and knows to take care of dogs. He treats the dog as his own and I would say Toby felt like home. Russel kept sending us pictures of Toby on a timely basis while we were out which showed how much he cared about the customer service. I would reccommend Russel anytime for dog care I wish him Good Luck on his business.

  We were nervous about leaving our 18 month old puppy even though our older dog would also be with him, but Russ made us feel confident that the dogs would be well taken care of and nurtured. We were out of the country but kept in touch with Russ via e-mail. He was great about sending pictures and up to date information to let us know how our dogs were doing. It made us feel like the dogs were at a doggie spa camp. Russ and his wife could not have been kinder nor more nurturing to our dogs We will definitely use them again!

  Dogs that stay with Russ are treated like his own. I was afraid mine wouldn't want to leave when I went to pick him up. Its a very safe and comfortable place for your dog to stay.

  Russ and Anne took very good care of Ollie while we were away for 10 days. We felt comfortable the entire time and Russ sent photos and videos of Ollie( who was having a great time) . I can recommend Russ and Anne to anyone who needs great care for their dog.Ollie felt right at home with them.We are so very happy we found Russ as a kennel is not an option for Ollie. Our previous dogs were at a few kennels and they were so stressed when they got home that we felt awful about leaving them- this was NOT the case this time and we are grateful.

  I knew for sure I didn't want to put Sadie in a kennel, so when I found out about this service, and that it was right around the corner from home, I was more than thrilled. I know caring for a 4 month old puppy is a tough job, but Russ and Anne did a wonderful job. I greatly appreciated all the pictures and videos they sent of Sadie while I was away - it certainly helped ease my worries of leaving her. They will definitely be my first choice if/when I need them.

  I think my little Sofie (9lb Havanese) had a great time today. She played with 4 other dogs...including a giant German Shepard and Bearded Collie...how fun was that! She could have used the Shepard's legs as agility poles :-) Great opportunity for her to socialize in a pack and everything went great.

  Sofie loves her vacations with Russ...and so do I. He takes this responsibility seriously. I'm very comfortable leaving her with him...and she's a real mama's girl!

  This was Clancy's first visit with Russ. I can't say enough kudos for Russ. He took care of her as if she was his own. The daily updates of video and pictures squashed any worry I may have had, but there was no concern after the first hour because there was an immediate update. Clancy had so much fun!!!! There is no hesitation; I will definitely have Clancy stay with Russ again. She can't wait for me to go away :)

  Ollie is very eager to visit Russ and Anne- he starts getting excited the closer we get to their home. He had a great time and we are very comfortable with the care he'll get when we go on a longer vacation.

  I hesitated to post a review for purely selfish reasons. I didn't want too many people in on my "find." I came across DogVacay by accident when I was surfing the web and thought "why not give this a try." After searching my area I decided that Russel was the one. Without even a Meet & Greet, Sofie, my 7-month old Havanese was dropped off for a one night stay and off I went. When I picked her up the next day, it was obvious that Russel and Anne were great canine caregivers, despite Sofie's puppy indiscretions. That being said...and the fact that my dog is one of the loves of my life...I've already booked them for future dates, which says volumes! Great experience. Highly recommended.

  Jerry was welcomed warmly and given a chance to bond with another boxer, which he seems to have done! We enjoyed the pictures and videos Russel sent and felt really positive about Jerry's stay.

  Russ and Ann were absolutely wonderful! We could not have had a better experience. This was my first time using a dog-sitter, so I was very nervous about the whole process, but I have zero regrets! My husband and I were so pleased! Russ sent me some pictures and video of our dog while we were away, which made us feel even more comfortable.   As always Russ and Anne do a wonderful service to us, they really care about the dogs that are under thier care. I never have to worry about Shelby, she is taken just as good as care of as she would be by us. Thank you again. Shelby is looking forward i am sure to her next visit..

  Russ and Anne are fantastic. They truly care for every dog they watch. Their house is very clean, roomy, and a large fenced in back yard - a great place for a dog vacay! I could tell my pup was very relaxed and comfortable there. I highly recommend Russ and Anne. Thank you both!

  It was Shelby's second time staying with Russ and Anne, and she was very excited to be there. We especially like that Russ periodically sends you pictures and videos of Shelby's vacation! We are very happy to have found these great people to take care of our pup when we go away!

  This was so AWESOME !!! Took the dogs over for A meet and greet ! Dogs tails were waging in the front door !i would have someone stop at my house for looking after them . Not anymore Thanks Russ for looking after my dogs like your own !!! Will book again !! .

  You could not find a better temporary home for your beloved dog. This was the dog's 2nd visit and he ran into Russ' house and did not look back!

  We would highly recommend Russell and Anne. We left our Golden retriever with them for the first time on New Years' Eve, and felt very comfortable and secure that our puppy was in good hands! We will definitely be using them again.

  We had never left our dog with anyone but friends and family before, so we were delighted to find an option other than a kennel. Russ and Ann obviously took great care of her, and we loved seeing the pictures and videos they sent. We are already checking to see if they're available when we go away in the spring!

  Kirby is blind and I avoid kennels because he doesn't get the care he needs. As a first time DogVacay user, I am very satisfied with the entire experience especially Russel and Ann. I know that Russel and Ann took good care of Kirby because Kirby did not exhibit any signs of stress afterwards. Also, I appreciate receiving photos of Kirby during his stay.

  Again a wonderful time for our Shelby. I can honestly say I was not worried about her for a minute, Each day Russ was in touch with us thru text and pictures of her. Shelby was happy and truley liked Russ and Anne. Would never leave her with anyone else, thanks Russ and Anne,. Shelby will be seeing you soon.

  This was Dexter's second stay with Russ and Ann and we were completely pleased with everything once again! I feel totally comfortable leaving Dex with them and it gives me peace of mind that he is being well taken care of!

  We are so thankful to have Russ to care for Ollie-we will be using him in the future. He has been quick to respond to any questions or concerns. He also called to let us know how Ollie was doing amd sent a photo. It really makes life easier when you can be assured Russ is caring for your dog when you can't be there.

  Chloe had a great time on her dogVacay. I think she had more fun then us on vacation. I could tell she was well cared for and loved while we were gone. We had daily texts and pictures updating us on how Chloe was doing. I would definitely use him again when we go on vacation. Thank you again!

  We had always left our 5 year old cattle dog with a very knowledgeable friend who could deal with her aggression towards other dogs. And our 2 year old border collie mix would go to a kennel whenever we would go away (which he was never happy with, and we hated splitting them up). When my dogsitter moved out of town, we were left looking for another option for the dogs where they could stay together. Uli, the cattle dog could not be around other dogs (besides Porter), so kenneling her was very challenging. We found Russ, and we sure are glad we did. Russ only watches one family's dogs at a time, so they don't have to meet other dogs (which Uli appreciated very much). Russ sent so many texts and pictures that we never worried about the dogs. There were pics of the dogs chasing balls in his yard, dressed up for Halloween for a parade with his grandson, and sleeping on the couch with the family while they watched TV! Russ was so attentive to their needs and our schedules. When Hurricane Sandy hit and our flights got cancelled, he said, "no worries, keep yourselves safe, and don't hurry back". Then he drove out of his way to find the brand of dog food that we feed and bought them a bag just in case we ended up getting stranded for longer than we thought! When we picked up the dogs, I'm pretty sure that they didn't want to go home with us because they were having so much fun. And Russ seemed like he genuinely loved having them there! We will continue to use Russ for our petsitting needs as long as he'll have us! Wags & Woofs, Nicole, Tim, Uluru & Porterhouse!

  I was a bit nervous on leaving Shelby with anyone, as she has never spent the night away, but they put us so much at ease. I knew Shelby would be taken care of. Plenty of videos and pics were sent to reassure me that she was in great hands. Will be doing this again. Great experience for us and Shelby. Thanks again!

  Russell was so great! We needed someone to watch our dog on extremely short notice due to a death in the family. He responded to my request within the hour and she was at his house that by that night. We did meet and greet/ drop off at the same time due to time constraints. He was a super great guy and met all of our needs. We have a 12 year old Yorkie who is partially blind and deaf. He and his wife loved on her as if she was their own! I got text message updates with pictures on an almost daily basis. I would/will definitely use his services again!

  We were very nervous about leaving Lance with a "stranger". Russ responded immediately and we went to his home to meet him. Russ made Lance, and us, feel very welcome. Lance enjoyed the large yard and immediately liked Russ. Throughout out time away we received frequent texts and pictures updating Lance's vacation. He received tons of attention and affection from both Russ and his wife. When we went to get Lance, he was happily playing in the yard. We would definitely ask Russ and his wife to let Lance have a vacation at his house again. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  Let me start off by saying, 5 stars are not enough to rate the exceptional experience I had with Russel, and his lovely wife, Anne. Their home, is big, and beautiful. The yard is HUGE! But ....... still not as big as their hearts, and love for dogs! I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my dog with someone other than a family member as I went away. But, after the meet n greet, I felt sooooo much better. The communication was great between Russel, and myself. I dropped my dog off at the agreed upon time, and gave any needed information/instructions about my dog. I went on my way for a 3 night, 4 day trip. While I was gone, I got updates, via text, that included pictures, and even a video! When I returned, I found a VERY HAPPY and HEALTHY dog! I could immediately see how happy my dog was with his stay there. He was out in the yard, playing frisbee with Russel and his wife, when I arrived there to pick him up. I wouldn't hesitate at all to have them watch my dog, Tundra again. And, I would HIGHLY recommend them as well! Thank you! Thank you! Thank You, for doing such a GREAT job watching, and caring for my dog, Tundra!

  Russel watched our two dogs this weekend and was great with them! The dogs loved to run in his huge fenced in yard and had a good time playing fetch with him. They got lots of attention from him and they were very well cared for. They came home happy and tired from playing so much. I would absolutely use him as a sitter again and recommend him to anyone. The dogs truely had their own vacation, too.

  Another great experience with Russ & Anne. They welcome Jenna like she is one of their own. We are confident she is getting the love & care she needs while we are away. We also appreciate the boundaries they seem to provide, but also like that they "spoil" her just enough so she enjoys her vacay! We look forward to using them again:)

  What a great experience...for us and our dog! We knew as soon as we had our meet & greet with Russ & Anne that Jenna would love her stay with them. The video and photos Russ sent to us by text and email were a fun way to see how much fun Jenna was having while we were away! We highly recommend them, and already have Jenna on the books for another stay:)

  Our 13 year old rat terrier had never been left with anyone other than family, so I was a little nervous about this new DogVacay experiment. However, the whole experience with Russ and Anne was very positive and reassuring from the beginning. Russ responded the same day I sent him a request, answering my questions. We arranged a meet and greet for the next day and Buddy took to him, Anne and their house immediately. I felt confident I would leave him in capable and caring hands. We were away for 3 nights and Anne texted us a picture of Buddy with updates every day. When we picked him up, he was his usual happy self, ready to go home. I would definitely use Russ and Anne again. Highly recommended!
