  This was our first time leaving our sweet girl with anyone. She's not yet a year old and we wanted her to feel safe and not like she was in a kennel. Liz and her husband put us at ease right away. Liz had a very thoughtful packet for me to fill out regarding Willow's routines, her likes and dislikes, and what type of structure we have with her at home. I had been concerned that the training we had done would be undone if we left her with strangers that didn't follow through on our foundation. Once I spoke with Liz I had no worries. She asked me lots of questions and assured me that she would send updates and photos and follow on our training. She was true to her word and we received daily messages and pics of our girl playing and getting lots of love. I would not hesitate to use Liz again should we need someone to take top notch care of our dog. In fact, I don't feel the need to look for someone else. I will automatically use Liz and feel completely confident that my girl is in hands as good as my own!

  Sammy usually has separations anxiety, but he can't get away from me and into their house fast enough! He has a great time playing with his puppy friends and I don't have to worry about him at all. Thanks Liz!

  Liz and her husband, Mike were exceptionally wonderful with our puppy, Sadie, while we were gone for a couple of nights to the coast. It was our first time to use DogVacay and Sadie's first time away from us. Liz kept us posted with emails and pictures and as an added bonus, another bichon mix, was also at their house. The photos and kind emails kept us so at ease about her care, we had a very relaxed vacation. It is obvious Liz and Mike love and care for all dogs. We highly recommend Liz and Mike, to anyone who is thinking about DogVacay for their dog. You won't find better care anywhere else in Austin. Catherine

  Only having had our high energy lab puppy for 6 weeks and having to leave her behind for 9 days while we were gone had me so worried about her adjusting. I searched endlessly for where to take her (and for someone willing to take a 3 1/2 month old pup). Wow - I could not have found anywhere better than Liz and Mike's home. She LOVED the playtime with other dogs (puppies even) and was so comfortable with the owners and their dog Aixa that I thought she might just want to stay and live with them! I appreciated all of the emailed updates and photos. And when we returned, I was amazed how smoothly she transitioned back home. She even came back better trained than when we left her! Butter will always have a soft spot for Liz, Mike and Aixa :) Thanks you guys!

  I was so nervous to leave my little girl (4 month old Boston Terrier) for the first time when I went on vacation, but Liz and her husband helped ease my fears! You can tell they have a lot of experience caring for all types of dogs, so I knew she was in good hands. Liz sent wonderful photos of my girl enjoying her playtime while I was away. They are also very flexible on the drop-off and pick up times and sent my little girl home with some homemade treats! Thank you Liz!!

  We couldn't have been more pleased. Frankie had a great time playing with the other dogs and Liz sent us photos to prove it. We know he was well cared for and we'll definitely be back.

  I think our dog had a better vacation than we did! Our dog loves playing with other dogs & he always has playmates at Liz's house. As usual, she's great, sends updates and photos while we're gone and sends our tired pup home with a bag of homemade treats.

  We have taken our dog to Doggone Vacations several times for day care/play time and she seems to love it. I know she is well taken care of and gets a lot of play time. Liz and Michael are great and seem to really love animals. Super responsive with any questions via email or in person. And they have a really sweet dog of their own. I feel good knowing that my dog is well taken care of and loved when she goes there.

  My pups love Liz! Whenever we arrive at Liz's house, they are all wags and kisses and excited to start playing so I know she takes excellent care of them, and provides them with lots of love and comfort. Not only do I prefer Liz whenever I have to travel, they have made it clear they prefer her (and Mike!) too!

  Since we rescued Libby in July, we haven't sent the dogs for boarding or daycare. This was a godsend! We are having foundation work, which means loud banging and traffic in/around the house all day so we sent the dogs to Liz. She allowed us to bring them last minute (booked it the night before). Charlie and Libby had an amazing time, came home tired and happy with yummy freshly baked treats. My fiance dropped and picked them up so I didn't get to meet Liz but he said they were "very nice and big dog lovers". We got a nice email in the middle of the day with pics which made me smile and feel a bit lighter. They would be our first choice for boarding long term but price wise, I'm not sure we'll be able to afford it. Two dogs + boarding get's expensive. Overall- 5 stars for all around ease of use, friendly loving people hanging out with your dogs all day can never be bad!

  Fabulous stay for my Chocolate Lab. This was her first stay and it could not have been better! Excellent communication, perfect accommodations and the very best host. Carley will definitely be back. The very highest recommendation for Liz.

  Jocasta had an amazing stay with Liz! She came back in a great mood. Liz made everything very easy for me and was very professional in how she handled everything. I will definitely be using her again. She even baked a fresh bag of dog treats as a little gift! Wow!

  It was a little more expensive than some of the other daycare places nearby but the boys had a great time. I also got an afternoon email update with pictures as well as a bag full of home made doggie biscuits. Will definitely take Rosco and Duncan back!

  I started taking my dog, Baci, to Doggone Vacations every Wednesday for daycare. It's great for him to get some middle of the week playtime in. Liz is great and updates me during the day with how Baci is doing. He's so excited when I drive up to drop him off and so exhausted for the rest of the night when I pick him up. Baci is one of those dogs with quite the personality. Before I started taking him to daycare he'd be pretty grumpy come Thursday or Friday if I hadn't had a chance to take him to the park. Now he's in a comfortable routine of daycare on Wednesdays and the park on the weekends. No more grumpy dog!

  A friend told us about Doggy Vacay and I am so happy we found it! We had an excellent experience with Liz and Michael one weekend when we unexpectedly needed to kennel our Mini Schnauzer and English Mastiff. In fact, I'd say that we had the best boarding service we've ever had. I was confident from the first conversation because Liz was genuinely excited to watch our dogs. She was quick to respond, professional and they were very knowledgeable about dogs - which showed from the first minute we were there. We got updates about how they were doing and she even included pictures of them playing throughout the day! This will be my absolute go to in the future and I will highly recommend it to friends and family!

  This was our first time leaving our two girls with Liz. Though I was a nervous pup mom, Liz sent several pics and a detailed update so I would know, and could see, that my babies were doing well. Much appreciated! I can tell Liz is a true dog lover and cares about her clients. My girls are now home, happily snoozed out, and I will definitely use Liz again!

  prompt, friendly and made our dog feel so welcome. this was our first non-commercial boarding experience and we will never go back! the price was very affordable in comparison to kennels we have used in the past, and provided a much better setting for our little lady to be in while we were away. we were only gone for 24hrs, but liz sent us an email update with pictures of our girl playing in their great backyard and interacting with another dog. they were understanding when we ran a little late to pick her up, and sent us home with a bag of treats! couldn't be happier, will definitely be using doggone in the future!

  Bruce, our 2 year old bulldog was made to feel right at home and welcome in Liz and Mike's dog-friendly home. He took to them and Aixa (their well-behaved German Shepard) immediately. It definitely gave me peace-of-mind knowing that he was well looked after. I received an email and photos from Liz during his stay there, and it certainly looked like he was having a good time in their lovely yard. They were kind in telling me that he had behaved just fine, when I know that he can be mischievous sometimes. (I think he might have chewed Mike's shoes!). I am glad that I have found a good "home-away-from-home" for Bruce. Oh, and he LOVES Liz's freshly baked doggy cookies. Thanks Liz and Mike.

  This was Coco's second stay with Doggone Vacations. Like her first stay, I was very satisfied. From our first Meet-n-Greet, it was obvious that Liz and her husband clearly love dogs and take this enterprise very seriously. I received an email with photos an an update on Day 2. Liz even sent us home with home-baked treats! They are great with Coco. She has come home happy and tired both times.

  Taking Jasper to Liz several times over the past few months has been a treat to both my wife & I and our dog. Liz & her husband Mike are absolutely fantastic and we are so lucky to have found them as a great place to drop our pup for socialization and play. They are great with Jasper, he comes home happy, excited, and tired from a day full of play. Liz is also so flexible with our schedule and will send us pictures of our little pup while he's there. We've been working to socialize our pup more and I can't recommend a better place for it and we know he's not stuck in a cage all day. Jasper is also extremely happy when he comes home with a fresh bag of dog treats Liz whips up each stay. I can't recommend Liz & Doggone Vacations & Daycare enough!

  Liz and Mike went above and beyond. They were very professional as well as flexible. They took the time to properly introduce their resident dog, Aixa, to my puppy. (They became fast friends.) Both Liz and Mike were super friendly and were so warm and welcoming of Evie. I loved that we got updates during our trip away, complete with adorable pictures! The homemade dog treats given to us as we left was just the complete icing on the cake. I would definitely use them again for future needs and would recommend them for others needing a dogsitter. It is completely worth every penny!

  Liz and Mike were absolutely wonderful with our dog. This was her first time to be away from us, and she spent the weekend with them. She loved them and had a blast playing with their sweet and well mannered girl, Aixa and came back a calm and happy girl. We are grateful that they treated her with such warmth and kindness, especially because our dog can be mischievous. Liz was the best puppy photographer---We got the cutest pictures and updates during her visit. We have already booked for a full week when we have to be out of town, and it is such a relief to know she will be well cared at Doggone Vacations.

  Liz & Mike are obviously "dog" people! We have an energetic 9 month old Catahoula mix who had a great time staying with them and their beautiful German Shepherd. They took the time to have 2 meet & greets before his stay because we were concerned about the dogs getting along well (yes-we're new puppy parents and it was his first time away from us!) Liz emailed us updates and photos while we were gone, so we had no worries about our pup. And he came home with a bag of yummy home made dog treats and a very tired dog from all the playtime! We will definitely use Liz again when heading out of town.

  Liz and Michael were great! I have a very nutty dog and they did not let on if she annoyed them all weekend. Halfway through I got a nice little update complete with pictures to know my girl was doing well. My pup was happy and even a little calm when I picked her up - which is not the norm when she has been boarded. I definitely recommend them!

  Liz was so kind and wonderful, and my pup Dublin had a great time staying with her and Aixa. Liz was willing to work with my short notice to schedule a meet and greet before the time Dublin would be boarded so that he could get to know her and her husband and meet their dog Aixa before he would be staying with them. She was very professional and knowledgeable and it was clear she cared about the quality of care Dublin would receive. She emailed me with photos and updates while Dublin was staying with her, and even gave him some homemade goodies when it was time to go home. Liz was so attentive to Dublin that she was able to raise some concerns about his behavior that I will now be able to address to make sure that he is a happy, healthy gentleman. I recommend Liz and Doggone Vacations highly and definitely plan to use them in the future.

During our trip, she sent e-mail updates with pictures to reassure us that everything was going well. They have a great yard for dogs and accommodated everything we asked.   Great first experience. Liz took the time to meet with me on short notice and answered all my questions. I was able to go out of town and have the peace of mind that my dog was well cared for. I received daily email updates with pictures and was able to call and check in. My dog came home healthy, happy, tired and with a bag of treats. I've found my sitter and will definitely use Liz's services again.

  My pooch and his buddy had an awesome time at Doggone Vacations. They were both loved on, walked and played with as if they belonged to Mike and Liz themselves. Plenty of room in the back yard for play time and fetch. And plenty of room inside for cooling off and stretching out. They both went home with a bag of yummy treats too! Would highly recommend Doggone Vacations and will be using them again instead of a kennel, Amen Sista!

  Liz is an amazing host and Ninja was well loved and cared for. She emailed me pics while I was away so I could catch a glimpse of her relaxing. Liz even sent a baggie of gourmet doggie treats home with Ninja. I highly recommend her service! I will use Liz again in the future for sure!

  Liz and Mike were AMAZING! They are very friendly and welcoming. My dog Stella and I had a meet and greet at their house a few days for I left for my trip and they really took time out of their day to meet Stella, introduce her to their home and their dog, and ease my worries and concerns. During my trip they updated me with emails and pictures. Stella really enjoyed her time at their house with their dog and other friends that were boarding. She even learned a few tricks while I was gone! I really appreciated the love they gave Stella while I was gone. Definitely made my trip more enjoyable knowing that she was in a safe home cuddled up at the feet of a sweet couple instead of stuck in a cold, smelly kennel. I highly recommend using Liz and Mike, I will definitely be using them in the future!

  Fabulous dog vacation with caring, smart hosts! Comfy home with nice backyard and friendly, playful shepherd. Even though their shepherd is large, she was very sweet with my 12 lb dachshund mix. The hosts really understand dogs and make the environment as welcoming as possible. All our impressions, from scheduling, to drop off, etc. we're excellent.
