About Me
My partner and I live Harvard Square with a fun-loving large dog, and our lives pretty much revolve around him.
We both work just 5 minutes away from home (walking distance). I'm also a grad student with a flexible schedule, and I can sometimes work from home. We usually walk the dog 4-5 times per day around the Harvard Square/Avon hill area. And with your permission we would take your pup with us to a local park for some real exercise (usually Danehy or Arlington dog parks). On weekends we could probably provide 24/7 supervision.
We would welcome friendly, house-trained, vaccinated, reasonably well-behaved, quiet dogs to our home for short or extended stays. Our resident canine, Doc, is a big silly clown dog. He is not shy at all-- he's actually very forward (runs right up to meet you) and is 93 lbs, so timid, reactive dogs may not be a good fit for our home. He's playful and likes dogs of all sizes.
I'm a longtime dog owner, former professional dog walker (Dogcentric in Maryland) and I'm working on a PhD in animal behavior & genetics. I adore dogs, am completely responsible, and know a fair amount about canine behavior and training. Ask us to show off Doc's tricks if you decide to visit!
Our apartment is ~700 sq feet, and is on the second floor, so there are a few steps to navigate. Also, there are the normal noises that come with living in an apartment building, and we won't be able to accept dogs that are vigilant & vocal and bark at strange noises.
Rate negotiable for vacays of more than 3 nights, depending on what attention your pup needs and how easily he or she fits into our daily schedule.

Hillary is incredibly caring and energetic. She spent a considerable amount of time with Bruin this weekend and really went above and beyond to make sure he had a great stay!
