  We chose Amanda for our first ever dog vacay and it was a complete success! The pups seemed super happy when we picked them up and in each picture she sent us. I thought my dog would have some difficulties since I had never left him for that long before but he was completely fine without me *tear*. It was great to be able to go away and not worry about the dogs since we knew they were in good hands and had a great big yard to run in. I would definitely recommend Amanda and will hopefully use her again in the future! Thanks!

  Amanda was great. I really appreciated her working with my crazy schedule. She posted pictures of Jack during his stay, so I knew he was having a good, safe time!

  Ryan and Amanda were great with Apollo, who is a very active puppy. I got pictures everyday that were awesome and showed how happy he was with them. Once we entered the house for a preview, Amanda made the decision very easy. They have a large backyard for Apollo to run around in and unfortunately dig. He got along well with their dogs. Amanda is extremely flexible and the location is on the way to LAX too. Book your dog with her ASAP!

  Amanda is very accommodating for our dog Brandy! Convenience and close location are a true bonus. Pictures of Brandy reassure us she is having a pleasant vacation away from us. When a dog owner finds a place like home away from home, there is true comfort when you are gone. Brandy will be back!

  Amanda was awesome. Short notice to accommodate our dog Brandy. She loves having Brandy as a vacationer. We are very appreciative to have a safe environment for our 13 year old dog. We will be using Amanda's vacation spot for Brandy again soon.

  Amanda is very welcoming and professional. This was my first time using Dogvacay and she made me feel very at ease and confident about leaving my dog with her. She has a great big backyard and a very cute dog friendly home. I would definitely recommend her and like to leave my dog with her in the future. Thank you Amanda and Dogvacay!

  It was our first time using www.dogvacay.com and we really did not know to expect. Lucky for us, we were able to read reviews of past experiences and that was how we found Amanda. We contacted Amanda and arranged for a visit to see how our dog, Precious, would respond to the new environment. From the get-go, Amanda was very responsive. She is on quick e-mail and answered all of our questions. We felt that Precious would be in good hands, and we were right :) While we were away, Amanda sent us multiple pictures of Precious (which were such a treat to get!). Her host brothers were so nice as to let our dog borrow their toys. If you are looking to find a host for your pet, look no further!

  We left for 11 days to Hawaii and Amanda took our 2 30lbs dogs with no problem for this time although we didn't have met before. We were very worried letting our dogs to be anywhere for such a long time. To be honest, we never did something like that before, the max. was a few days at my parents house and they were not happy at all! So we were very worried if they will behave and not be worried to death at a new place. But Amanda made it very easy for us. We had internet in Hawaii and we got EVERYDAY 2 pictures of our dogs, we even had a chat on skype and saw our dogs and how well they were doing! This was a big peace of mind for us to know they are doing good. When we returned to pick them up they were TOTALLY relaxed and on another quick visit they were happy to see Amanda, so that was a VERY good sign that they had a good time with her!!! Otherwise they usually would bark and cry for a long time when we picked them up at other places and that after only a few hours or 1-2 days! All in all we were super pleased with Amanda and how well and his husband took care of our 2 dogs! I can recommend her to everyone!

  Amanda is REMARKABLE!!! She went above and beyond to take care of Baxter, even picking up his crate while we were gone, making room in her own garage for him, so he could feel as close to home and in his routine as possible. She will be my always go to girl for taking care of Baxter while we are gone. Thank you again Amanda... phenomenal job!!! :-)

  This was our first time using DogVacay and Amanda was wonderful. Saydee had a wonderful time and enjoyed playing with her two dogs. She has a big fenced back yard with lots of room for running. We loved getting the photo updates of Saydee having a great time. Amanda and her husband made our dog feel right at home, they even let her sleep on the bed with them!

  I have never boarded my pets whe I went away. I was always unwilling to put them in a kennel but having friends stay at my house was not easy either. Amanda, gave me the opportunity to go on vacation and leave me worries about my dogs behind. I am so grateful. She is so mellow and so thoughtful towards my dogs and myself. She sent regular updates which made my day and I just knew they were ok. I would recommend Amanda to anyone wanting a nice friendly, welcoming enviornment for their dog while they are away. She is great!!!!!!

  Amanda was wonderful! I appreciated how she handled the meet-n-greet as well as drop of/pick up. She takes great pictures of your dog and emails them to you each day. I will admit that we looked forward to those emails! Our dog was clearly well cared for and happy to see us (but I suspect he wouldn't have been too upset if he never left there!) I will recommend her to anyone and everyone!

  My two dachshunds and I highly recommend Amanda. Five stars all the way! She is super nice, has two lovable dogs of her own to keep your pups company, sent photo updates via email throughout the stay, AND dropped my girls and their gear off at my house. Amazing. I will never board at a kennel or daycare again - home stay through DogVacay is the way to go, and if you're in the Long Beach area, Amanda is the best!

  Amanda was great! She sent lots of photos throughout the week so that we could see what a good time Reggie was having. She was very flexible with pickup/dropoff times, and we really appreciated having Reggie in a loving and personal home. Thanks again, Kristen

  Really nice and very sweet with my little 80 lb puppy! This is my third place I've left my pup in the last 2 years and I won't be looking any further (unless Amanda quits or is on vacation or something....) - Athena was happy and healthy when I picked her up, not eager to leave happy, just looked like she had a real good time. Thanks Amanda!

  Amanda was quite flexible and accommodating. She was willing to be available for our meet and greet. Our dog Brandy seemed to feel right at home there. Plenty of room for her to roam and get acquainted with her little dogs. Despite her size, Brandy seemed to feel right at home while on her vacation at Amanda's house. We were sent pictures and updates while we were away. This was reassuring Brandy was doing just fine. We hope to send Brandy on future vacations at Amanda's home.

  Amanda and her family were very accommodating for both our "meet and greet" and Indy's stay. I arrived at her place with a van full of kids for the "meet and greet" and she was very gracious. Amanda handled the variety of dogs that she was caring for very well when Indy entered the scene for the play date and for his stay. We had to extend our stay for an extra night and Amanda was also very gracious with this last minute change. Her home was very clean with tons of open yard space for the dogs to run and play. We think Indy had a great time and enjoyed his stay, considering he loves to play with other dogs and run around. Thank you Amanda and family for loving on Indy:)

  Amanda was absolutely fantastic! From the start, she was flexible with accommodating our schedules, and she also took the time to learn more about our dog "Lick," his daily routines and his personality. After our initial meet, we knew that Amanda was perfect. They have a large backyard, a nice neighborhood for walks, and a spacious house. Lick's vacay was 3 nights/4days and it was our very first time using a sitter. Amanda was very reassuring, reliable, and you can just tell she loves dogs, which was what we wanted. Lick got to sleep in their bed, he had daily walks, and was closely watched. Overall Amanda was a perfect handler. Very affordable and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks so much Amanda and Ryan!!!

  Amanda and Ryan are a very nice couple. They were able to accommodate our dog Milo at the last minute! They are true doggie people. We felt comfortable leaving him in their hands for the day. They have a good size backyard for dogs to run around in. When we picked up Milo, he was happy and in good spirits. I recommend you use them since they provide very affordable care. A big bonus is that they are very conveniently located off the intersection of the 405 & 710 freeways and they will do pickup/dropoff for just $5 each way. I would use them again.
